Saturate Us 6-13-05

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Draw me near into the depths of Your presence in these first moments of the morning. I choose to begin this day with You. ... Saturate us with Your Spirit, Lord. Peter was so saturated with the living presence of Your Holy Spirit that even the touch of his shadow brought healing and deliverance (Acts 5.12-16). You are the healer and the deliverer; You have all power in heaven and earth. Yet, You choose to live in our hearts by the presence of Your Sprit. You desire to abide in us and for us to abide in You so intimately that we become one -- as close as the created can become one with our Creator. Let our very being exude Your presence and power because of the intimacy of our hearts with Yours. When the world sees Your nature and Your power exuding from Your people, it will be said again in our day what was said in Peter's day: "Yet more than ever believers were added to the Lord, great numbers of both men and women" (Acts 5.14).
