Beauty of Diversity 6-15-05

Good morning, Lord Jesus. All creation declares Your glory, for all things were created through You and for You (Colossians 1.16). I join in that declaration at the beginning of this new day. ... Traveling from the desert of El Paso to the mountains of New Mexico, it's easy to see that all of Your creation holds its own beauty. That beauty is revealed in stark contrast. You are our Creator and You are a creative God. The intricacies and diversities of all that flows from Your hand to form the life and beauty that surrounds us declares Your glory. "Ever since the creation of the world His eternal power and divine nature, invisible though they are, have been understood and seen through the things He has made" (Romans 1.20). You glory is revealed in diversity of Your people as well. No two are the same, nor are they intended to be. We have diverse beginnings, cultures, gifting, and calling; yet, each is as beautiful as the other and each is created to display Your glory. "For we are what He has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life" (Ephesians 2.10). Free us from comparing ourselves to others and comparing one another. Free us to see the creativity and diversity of Your glory in their hearts and in ours. In Jesus' name we pray. Be encouraged this day!
