Wisdom and Understanding 7-16-05

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Help me commit my thoughts and my ways to You. ... "The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding He founded the heavens; by His knowledge the deeps broke open, and the clouds drop down their dew. My child, do not let these escape from your sight: keep sound wisdom and prudence, and they will be life for your soul and adornment for your neck. Then you will walk on your way securely and your foot will not stumble" (Proverbs 3.19-23). Though we may question Your wisdom, forgive us. Though we may doubt Your understanding, have mercy. You founded the earth with calling and purpose and destiny. You cause all things to work together in the created order of Your purposes and plans, no matter the chaos that comes from the freedom of human choices and the destruction that comes from the attacks of spiritual forces (Romans 8.28). Even these things that break Your heart help transform us into the people You've created us to be, if we will keep seeking You and committing our thoughts to the wisdom of God. We ask for Your wisdom; we seek Your understanding. They are life to our souls and the path for our feet. You are the Path; You are the Way. And as we entrust our hearts and souls to You, our feet will not stumble and we will walk securely, no matter how insecure we may feel and how insecure the world around us may seem. "Trust in the Lord will all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths" (Proverbs 3.5-6). Yes, Lord.
