Feast of Tabernacles - October 8

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I worship You in spirit, soul, and body. I honor You in every dimension of Your Being and entrust to You every dimension of my being. ...

"You shall observe the Feast of Tabernacles seven days, when you have gathered from your threshing floor and from your winepress. And you shall rejoice in your feast, you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant and the Levite, the stranger and the fatherless and the widow, who are within your gates. Seven days you shall keep a sacred feast to the Lord your God in the place which the Lord chooses, because the Lord your God will bless you in all your produce in all the work of your hands, so that you shall surely rejoice" (Deuteronomy 16:13-15, NKJ).

This weekend, I was honored to come speak and minister among a gathering of families come together to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles every year. They take their tents, their "tabernacles," and set up camp, just as the Lord commanded the Hebrew people to go out into their tents to remember the season of their wilderness and to celebrate the joy of their harvest. There was much joy and celebration and dancing. And there was much praise for the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, who brings us through our wildernesses into our harvest.

Thank You, Lord, for bringing us through every wilderness. Thank You for reminding us of the days of harvest to come. Like the Hebrew people who dwelled in their tents through the years of the wilderness, they came to know how desperately dependent they were upon You. And later in the land of Your promise, when You called them out into the harvest of Your promises, they remembered and celebrated Your faithfulness and abundant provision. And Your Word says there will come a time again when the people of the nations of the earth shall "go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles" (Zechariah 14:16).

In You, our Messiah, no matter what wilderness we go through, there is always a harvest to come. No matter how long our wilderness may last, You are always with us. You are the God who comes to "tabernacle" among us (John 1:14). So even in the wilderness, there's always time for celebration and joy. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Tommy, may the Lord bring you through every wilderness and remind you of His harvest for you to come. May you know the joy of His Presence, even in the midst of the wilderness times. Please pray the same for me, my friend. God bless you!
