Morning by Morning, September 24, 2025 – Ten Days of Awe Good morning, Lord Jesus. Put Your thoughts in my mind and Your desires in my heart, as I seek to begin my day embraced by my Father, centered in Christ, and filled with the Holy Spirit. ... “Let all the earth fear the Lord; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him” (Psalm 33:8). During these Ten Days of Awe on the Biblical Calendar — the ten days from the Feast of Trumpets until the Day of Atonement (Leviticus 23:24-32) — I stand in awe of You, as I honor You and fear You in the reverence You deserve from me and from all the inhabitants of the world. I bow low in humility before You, I lift up my praises in worship of You — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit of the Living God. Throughout the ages, these are days specifically intended to honor You and humble our hearts before You, in both the love of God and the fear of the Lord. “And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ‘Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘The feasts of the Lord (the appointed times of the Lord), which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts (My appointed times)’” (Leviticus 23:1-2). Though You are the ultimate Fulfillment of every Feast, every Law, every Prophecy of the Old Covenant, just as Your Voice is our Trumpet and Your Blood is our Atonement, just as we are to honor You and humble ourselves before You every moment of every day, we are also moved during these appointed times to focus on You in an intentional, deliberate way. As You said, “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill” (Matthew 5:17). These ten days, set apart in the appointed times of the Lord on Your Biblical Calendar, are days of opportunity, appointed for an attitude of heart of repentance and return, introspection and intimacy, solemnity in the searching of our souls to surrender to You all that is not yet like You. As David expressed: “Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting” (Psalm 139:23-24). “Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.... “Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.... “Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a (right) spirit within me” (Psalm 51:1-2, 7, 10). Thank You that when we seek You in humility and search for You in faith, You promise we will find You and we will be embraced by You: “You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord” (Jeremiah 29:13-14). “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up” (James 4:10). In these Days of Awe, help me embrace an intentional, deliberate attitude of my heart. Move me by Your Spirit to desire in my thoughts and my desires, a living lifestyle of humility before You, dependence upon You, passionate pursuit of You, in both the love of God and the fear of the Lord. This day and every day, I stand in awe of You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today. Morning by Morning, September 23, 2025 – The Feast of Trumpets Fulfilled in Jesus Good morning, Lord Jesus. I lift up my heart and open up my ears to sense Your Presence and follow Your leading (John 10:27). ... “Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ‘Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work on it; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord’” (Leviticus 23:23-25). On the Biblical Calendar, we’ve entered into the season of the Fall Feasts with the Feast of Trumpets. This Feast also beings the Ten Days of Awe between the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement (Leviticus 23:27). And all the Feasts, like all the Law and the Prophets are ultimately fulfilled in You, Lord Jesus, Yeshua, our Messiah, our Christ, our Lord and Savior (Matthew 5:17). Everything written of the people of Israel throughout their journey is also intended to speak to us in Christ, who have now been grafted into Israel (Romans 11:17), as prophetic examples of our relationship with You — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit of God.  As Your Word teaches us, “All these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come” (1 Corinthians 10:11). In the symbolism of this Feast, the sounding of the trumpets speaks of the call to gather Your people together and speaks of preparing our hearts for Your Presence, leading into this ten-day time of reflection and repentance, introspection and intimately listening in sabbath-rest for correction and conviction before the Day of Atonement. And at the same, there is to be “an offering of fire made to the Lord.” Many also believe the prophetic symbolism and patterns of the Scriptures indicate the Feast of Trumpets will ultimately be fulfilled in Your coming on the Feast of Trumpets in a year to come. And Your Word calls us to listen and be ready for the sounding of the trumpet on one glorious day: “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words!” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18) We may disagree about whether that day is the day of the Rapture or the day of the Second Coming of Christ or both together as one day, but all who are in Christ are looking forward to Your coming and the sounding of Your trumpet! May we be ready, with a personal, intimate relationship with You for the coming of that day! So on this day, during this season, sound the Trumpet of Your Voice in my spirit. Draw me near to You in deeper surrender, waiting before You, listening for Your leading, embracing Your correction, and preparing my heart in trusting repentance in honor of all You have done for me. You are my Atonement — “the Atoning Sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world” (1 John 2:2). You are “the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). You are the Voice of One who sounds “as of a trumpet” (Revelation 1:10). With the Fire of Your Spirit burning in my heart, let the Sound of Your Voice arise like a Trumpet in my spirit. Your sheep hear Your Voice (John 10:27). Your children are led by Your Spirit (Romans 8:14). Let us be ready! Let us be ready and look forward to the day “the last trumpet” will sound! (1 Corinthians 15:52) In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Morning by Morning, September 19, 2025 – “Valley Forge. Forged in the Valleys of these Dark and Challenging Days to Climb Up and Take the Mountains of Our Destiny!” Good morning, Lord Jesus. I speak out Your name and listen for Your leading, as I begin my day centered in Your Presence and grounded in Your Word (John 10:27). ... As I wait, I hear in my heart: “Valley Forge.” ... Now the picture comes to mind of the famous painting of General George Washington kneeling in the snow in prayer at Valley Forge before crossing the Delaware River in the surprise attack that changed the course of the American Revolutionary War. ... Now this: “Valley Forge. Forged in the Valley. Forged in the valleys of these dark and challenging days to climb up and take the mountains of our destiny.” ... The Scripture comes to mind to confirm what I believe I’m hearing in my heart: “We are afflicted in every way but not crushed, perplexed but not driven to despair, persecuted but not forsaken, struck down but not destroyed, always carrying around in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible in our bodies. For we who are living are always being handed over to death for Jesus’s sake, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible in our mortal flesh” (2 Corinthians 4:8-11). Valley Forge was a “turning point” for America. And for the Body of Christ in our nation and in our world, we are at a “turning point” again. You will take these dark and challenging days and turn them around into an awakening in our hearts to arise and shine and take the mountains of our destiny. This awakening in our hearts may even be the Third Great Awakening in our nation we have forever longed to see and fervently prayed to experience. Even as I write out this prayer, words of inspiration from apostolic and prophetic leaders like Dutch Sheets and Jonathan Cahn, Chris Reed and Rick Joyner come to mind about a coming Third Great Awakening in America if we embrace both humility and boldness. “Not be might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6). These Words of God now arise in my spirit: “Sleeper, awake!     Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you!” (Ephesians 5:14) Now the prophetic Exhortation and Promise of Isaiah being fulfilled in us in the generations of the last days: “Arise, shine, for your light has come,     and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For darkness shall cover the earth     and thick darkness the peoples, but the Lord will arise upon you,     and His glory will appear over you. Nations shall come to your light     and kings to the brightness of your dawn. Lift up your eyes and look around;     they all gather together; they come to you; your sons shall come from far away,     and your daughters shall be carried in their nurses’ arms. Then you shall see and be radiant;     your heart shall thrill and rejoice” (Isaiah 60:1-5). Lord, open our eyes to see! Arise in our hearts to shine and be radiant with the Light of Your glory shining through Your people. “Christ in (us), the hope of glory!” (Colossians 1:27). At Valley Forge, the turning point came with the heart of a warrior on his knees. At this turning point in our hearts and in our nation and in the hearts of the nations, may we have the heart of a warrior as the Army of the Lord. Your heart is full of mercy and love (1 John 4:16). And at the same time, You’re also a Warrior who stands up and speaks out to fight for all that is right and true: “The Lord is a warrior;     the Lord is His name!” (Exodus 15:3) May we also “Fight the good fight of the faith (and) take hold of the eternal life to which (we) were called for which (we make) the good confession in the presence of many witnesses” (1 Timothy 6:12). As the Body and Bride of Christ, as disciples of Jesus going and making disciples of all nations, as the Army of the Lord in the earth, may we bend our knees and bow our hearts in humility before You, that Your Spirit may arise and shine within us. May we humble ourselves in Your sight that You may lift us up (James 4:10). In the power of Your might, may we awaken and arise to take the mountains of our destiny in You that Your kingdom may be made manifest here on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). May we envision in our hearts the Promise of the day to come when “The kingdoms of the world have become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign forever and ever!” (Revelation 11:15) In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today.
