Morning by Morning, December 3, 2025 – “The Bread of Life” Good morning, Lord Jesus. Put Your thoughts in my mind, Your desires in my heart, Your words in my mouth. ... “And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst” (John 6:35). You are the Bread of Life. You are the Word of God. As I “eat” of Your Word, as I abide in Your Presence, I become one with Your Spirit. You in me and I in You (John 15:4). “He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him” (1 Corinthians 6:17). Increase my hunger for Your Word. Magnify my yearning for Your Presence. Remove every hesitation and hindrance from joining in this union with Your Spirit. You said “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63).  Your Spirit gives life as I eat and take into myself Your Bread of Life, Your Spirit of Life, Your words of spirit and life, abiding in You as You abide in me. Drawing near to You as You draw near to me (James 4:8). You said, “Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.... My Father gives you the true bread from Heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes down from Heaven and gives life to the world.... I AM the Bread of Life” (John 6:27, 32-33, 35). Yes, Lord. Like those who first heard Your words said, “Lord, give us the bread always” so I say, “Lord, give me this Bread always” (John 6:34). In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today. Morning by Morning, December 2, 2025 – “Bear Much Fruit”   Good morning, Lord Jesus. Stir in my spirit with the heart and the words that are in Your Spirit, as I seek to begin my day embraced by Father, centered in Christ, and filled with Holy Spirit. ...   “By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples” (John 15:8).   Be glorified today, My Father. Lead me by Your Spirit, Lord Jesus. Let my life bear much fruit.   Show me where to give and who to love. Show me who’s loving and giving and bearing much fruit, that I can come alongside them as You’ve led so many to come alongside me.   None of us can do it all. Nor should we. And apart from You, none of us can do any of it all. But together we can. And together we must, as we show ourselves to be Your disciples in our world.   You are the Vine and we are Your branches. As we aide in You and You abide in us, so we abide together and bear much fruit together. You speak all this, “that (our) joy may be full” (John 15:11).   Thank You for the joy of bearing much fruit. Thank You for the joy of bringing You much joy as we abide in You and with one another to be about our Father’s business working together as Your disciples led by Your Spirit. “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God” (Romans 8:14). Those who come, follow You in obedience and love are Your true disciples of love (John 13:35). In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today. Morning by Morning, December 1, 2025 – “Think On These Things”

 

Morning by Morning, December 1, 2025 – “Think On These Things” Good morning, Lord Jesus. Draw me near. Help me hear. I’m watching and waiting for Your leading (John 10:27). ... “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (Philippians 4:8 KJV). By the power of Your grace, I can choose what to “think on.”  I can “think on” negative things or positive things. I can “think on” destructive things are constructive things, discouraging things or hopeful things. I can “think on” things that make me mad or things that make me glad. Things that are false, unjust, unholy, ugly, and of bad report. Or things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. The choice is mine. And Your Word tells me what to choose. Your Spirit empowers me to choose well. To choose well and to “think on” these things is not to stick my head in the sand in the bliss of ignorance about all the other things. But it’s choosing by an act of my will to first “think on” what is good and right and true. To give priority and preference to those things, not letting the other things dominate my thinking, control my attitude, or cloud my perspective. I believe it’s part of what Your Word means, that “we have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16). With this mind, with this mindset, worry does not rule, fear does not reign, evil does not prevail. No, my God reigns and fills my mind with good things.  Fill my mind with good things, Lord. Remind me of Your power to redeem all things, to cause even bad things to work out and work together for good in my life. Put Your thoughts in my mind as I willingly, deliberately, intentionally choose to “seek those things which are above” and “set (my) mind on things above” (Colossians 3:1-2). Then first and foremost, I will “think on” these things You set as the priority of the things that will form and shape my attitude and my perspective for my day. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today. Morning by Morning, November 28, 2025 – Many “Black Fridays” but Only One “Good Friday”   Good morning, Lord Jesus. Help me begin my day thankful and expectant. ...   In America, we called today “Black Friday” for all the good sales to kick off the shopping season the day after Thanksgiving. Many even get up extra early or even campout to get the best deals before they’re snatched up by somebody else. Some of our species go shopping; some watch football; some get back to work.   There’s lots of Black Fridays. They come around once a year. But there’s only one Good Friday. It only came once.   We may remember it once a year. But there was only day so different from every other day that marked and changed our eternity:   “By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all” (Hebrews 10:10).   “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” (Ephesians 1:7).   So as we move on from Thanksgiving Day, through Black Friday and Cyber Monday and all the other days between this day and the One to come when You return to set all things right here on Earth as it is in Heaven, let us not forget “Good Friday.” We call it “Good” because it’s the day You set things right in us—in the heart and life of all who put their hope and trust in You alone (John 3:16). In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. res forever!” (Psalm 131:1 NIV) In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today.
