Morning by Morning, August 15, 2025 - “Go into All the World” Good morning, Lord Jesus. I look to You and listen for Your leading (John 10:27). ... “And then (Jesus) told them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone” (Mark 16:15 NLT). Here in the same month of August, I’ve barely come home from Kenya and now we’re packing up to go to Colombia. That same stirring in my spirit that propelled me into ministry to the people of Kenya is the same stirring in my spirit now for the people of Colombia: “Time is short. Doors are open. Go into all the world.” Yes, Lord. Thank You for supernatural grace, energy and stamina, provision and relationships, and open doors for hungry hearts to hear the Good News of the love of God through Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. This ministry You’ve entrusted to me for nearly thirty years now is to those both at home and abroad. These last few years, it seems You’ve especially emphasized the “abroad” part, the “Go into all the world” part. Thank You for everyone who prays for us, who provides for us, who encourages us to be a part and do our part of advancing the Kingdom of God in the hearts of people and in the earth. And whether at home or abroad, it does seem there is a deep sense of urgency to share the hope that is within us. Hope for salvation of souls for eternal life. And hope for today for the peace, love, and joy You have for all who would allow Your Holy Spirit to move and heal and free all who would receive to be set free from all that would hold them back from all You created them to be. So may we carry this Good News of Yours, this hope of Yours, in our hearts and release it in the power of Your Spirit “to everyone” and every place You send us. “Now may the God of hope fill (us) with all joy and peace in believing, that (we) may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13). In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today. Morning by Morning, August 14, 2025 - “Power Perspective” Good morning, Lord Jesus. Lord of my life, Savior of my soul, be at the heart of all I am and all I’ll do today. ... As I wait on Your leading this morning, what comes to my heart is this: “Power Perspective.” ... And this: “I empower you with My perspective. I give you a perspective that empowers you to overcome and succeed in My victory over every battle you engage and every challenge you encounter.” ... Yes, Lord. What is this perspective?” ... “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). Yes, Lord. Let this be my perspective. No matter what battle I engage, no matter what challenge I encounter, may Your Spirit remind me and empower me with this perspective, this attitude, this fortitude of determination to look up to You and rejoice, to persist with You in prayer, to thank You in everything because You’re with me through everything—as best as I can and all by Your grace. “Thanks be to God, who gives (me) the victory through (my) Lord Jesus Christ!” (1 Corinthians 15:57) “Thanks be to God who always leads (me) in triumph in Christ!” (2 Corinthians 2:14) In Jesus’ name I pray. Morning by Morning, August 13, 2025 - Flourish Like a Tree Planted by the Waters Good morning, Lord Jesus. Be at the center of my heart and every moment of my day. ... “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit” (Jeremiah 17:7-8). Keep my faith and hope grounded in You, like a tree planted by the waters. Those who trust in You, who keep trusting in You, even through the times of sweltering heat of hardships, even through the times of dryness and drought, will continue to flourish and thrive in their hearts. They will continue to yield fruit, the fruit of the Spirit of God. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control” (Galatians 5:22-23). Let Your fruit be produced through my life, with my heart near to You, “like a tree planted by the waters.” You are the Living Water (John 4:10). Your Spirit fills me up to nourish me and flow through me as Living Water that bears Your fruit as You develop Your heart, Your character in me. As You said, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water” (John 7:37-38). “This He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive” (John 7:39). Thank You, my Heavenly Father. Come, Holy Spirit of God. Keep my heart planted in my deeply personal relationship with Jesus, that I may flourish and thrive, no matter what season I’m in or challenges I go through. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Morning by Morning, August 12, 2025 - One Spirit Good morning, Lord Jesus. You are One with the Father, One with the Holy Spirit; and by the mystery of faith and grace of God, You also desire to be one with me and all who would welcome You into their hearts and lives as Lord and Savior. ... “But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him” (1 Corinthians 6:17). By Your grace, may my heart be joined with Your heart, my thoughts joined with Your thoughts, my desires joined with Your desires, my words joined with Your words, my actions joined with Your actions, my ways joined with Your ways, my will joined with Your will. Not my will, but Yours be done. Not my way, but Yahweh. As Your Word reminds me and realigns my thinking and perspective and understanding of who You are in me and who I am in You: “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16) “Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” (1 Corinthians 6:19) Fill Your temple, Holy Spirit of God. Consume with Your Holy Fire all that is not yet like You, as You join me with You to make me more like You each day, by the power of Your mercy and grace at work within me. “For God is working in (me), giving (me) the desire and the power to do what pleases Him” (Philippians 2:13).
