Morning by Morning, October 28, 2024 - “Jesus is King!” Good morning, Lord Jesus. I lift up Your name in my heart, in my words, in the moments of my day (John 12:32). ... Today, I declare to You and to all who join with me in these morning prayers the truth of Your Word being revealed in our world: “Jesus is King!” You are “King of Kings and Lord of Lords!” “Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS (Revelation 19:11-16). And though we face battles every day in this broken and fallen world where You are at work by Your Spirit in the ministry of redeeming all things “until the times of restoration of all things” (Acts 3:21), our eyes are on You, our hearts are with You, our hope is in You. Even in the darkest times, in the greatest intensity of spiritual warfare fully manifesting in the battles of our world, You will rule and reign in victory over the darkness: “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful” (Revelation 17:12-14). In whatever measure we experiencing the battles with darkness in our days, we declare, “Jesus is King!” We declare, “the Lamb will overcome!” And may we be found faithful, looking to You as those who are “with (You),” who are “called, chosen, and faithful.” “Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” (1 Corinthians 15:57) “(Your) dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and (Your) kingdom one that shall not be destroyed!” (Daniel 7:14) “(You) will (fully) manifest (Your kingdom) in (Your) own time, He who is the blessed and only sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords!” (1 Timothy 6:15) Again I declare in the freedom I have, “Jesus is King!” In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
