Morning by Morning, August 12, 2025 - One Spirit Good morning, Lord Jesus. You are One with the Father, One with the Holy Spirit; and by the mystery of faith and grace of God, You also desire to be one with me and all who would welcome You into their hearts and lives as Lord and Savior. ... “But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him” (1 Corinthians 6:17). By Your grace, may my heart be joined with Your heart, my thoughts joined with Your thoughts, my desires joined with Your desires, my words joined with Your words, my actions joined with Your actions, my ways joined with Your ways, my will joined with Your will. Not my will, but Yours be done. Not my way, but Yahweh. As Your Word reminds me and realigns my thinking and perspective and understanding of who You are in me and who I am in You: “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16) “Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” (1 Corinthians 6:19) Fill Your temple, Holy Spirit of God. Consume with Your Holy Fire all that is not yet like You, as You join me with You to make me more like You each day, by the power of Your mercy and grace at work within me. “For God is working in (me), giving (me) the desire and the power to do what pleases Him” (Philippians 2:13). Morning by Morning, August 11, 2025 - “School to School” Prayer

 

Morning by Morning, August 11, 2025 - “School to School” Prayer Good morning Lord Jesus. Lead me by Your Spirit from this place of intimacy in my heart, as I seek to begin my day embraced by my Father, centered in Christ, and filled with the Holy Spirit. ... “Let the children come to Me” (Mark 10:14). Last evening, I joined with the other pastors, leaders, and prayer warriors of our community in Fredericksburg, Texas to go “school to school” to pray for our school children and all their parents, teachers, principals, administration and schoolhouses before the doors open this week for the new school year. We laid hands on the buildings and laid hands on the principals, teachers, students, and their families who came and all those they represent. We prayed for their education and protection, for their relationships and friendships, for their identities and destinies. From the bus drivers to the superintendent, from the janitors to the school board, we prayed for Your hand to be upon them all. And we prayed for Your Spirit to fill them all. I was so moved by the heart-felt prayers of one young student who cried out for revival on the campuses, that this school year would be unlike any other school year, with Your revival fire catching hearts ablaze in every school. Yes, Lord! Let it be so! Here with new laws going into effect all across the State of Texas, the Ten Commandments will be posted in the classrooms, prayer will be welcomed back in the schools, freedom of faith and religion will be honored in the hearts and hallways of educational system. Lord, let there be an eruption of Your Spirit in an atmosphere of security, education, honor, and respect! You declared long ago, “let the children come to Me.” Let them not be hindered or held back. And I thank You that they can come to You even as they go to school because You have been invited and welcomed into every place in their schools, from school to school, across our community. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today. Morning by Morning, August 7, 2025 - First Things First Good morning, Lord Jesus. I speak out Your name and welcome You into every moment of my day. ... “Who has performed and done it, Calling the generations from the beginning? ‘I, the Lord, am the First; And with the last I am He” (Isaiah 41:4). Lord, You are “the First.” Be the First in my life. First Things first. Let Your name be the first word from my mouth every morning. Let Your face be the first thing I seek as I begin each day in the communion of prayer and the fellowship of Your Spirit. Let Your will be my first desire and Your ways be my first choice. Let everything else come second, as I seek You first, Your Kingdom of God, Your righteousness in my heart, where You set things right in me, right in my relationship with You, and right in my relationship with all others (Matthew 6:33). By the power of Your grace at work within me, may I have no other gods before You (Exodus 20:3). Let every idol that would try to rise up and take Your place in my heart as my priority be cast down. Let every “stronghold” that would try to hold on strongly to my thoughts and desires, to try to replace Your place of authority and priority in my life be pulled down, “casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God” (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). And let Your name be exalted. Let Your name be glorified. Let Your name and Your place be high and lifted up in my heart and life, right now in these first moments of my day and then throughout every moment of my day. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Morning by Morning, August 7, 2025 - “King of Glory” in King’s City and Throughout the Earth

 

Morning by Morning, August 7, 2025 - “King of Glory” in King’s City and Throughout the Earth Good morning, Lord Jesus. Help me begin my day embraced by my Father, centered in Christ, and filled with the Holy Spirit. ... “For the Lord is our Judge, The Lord is our Lawgiver, The Lord is our King; He will save us” (Isaiah 33:22). In the King’s City community of Nyeri, Kenya, we held our outdoor crusade gatherings our last week in the country. We prayer walked the community, praying in person for the people as we went, while praying for their shops and families, their needs they expressed and their hopes they desired. Not many refused the opportunity of prayer, as we prayed in the mighty name of Jesus. The community was originally named after a tribal king, but we prayed and prophetically declared that the people of this community would experience the breakthrough and revival of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! (Revelation 19:16) For “the Lord is our King; He will save us!” (Isaiah 33:22) There is salvation, breakthrough, and revival in no other name! (Acts 4:12) Just like in King’s City, come rule and reign in my heart, King Jesus. You take Your place of authority and majesty, of Savior and Lord, in every area of my life, of my community, of my nation. “The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.... “Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory!” (Psalm 24:1, 9-10) Fulfill the Promise of Your Word in me and in Your Body throughout the earth: “But truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord” (Numbers 14:21). “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea!” (Habakkuk 2:14) As the hymn of battle and victory declares, “Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord!” Open the eyes of every heart to see You and the coming of Your glory, King Jesus! (Ephesians 1:18) In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today.
