Morning by Morning, June 30, 2026 — Embracing the True “Spirit of Christ” and Exposing the False Spirit of Christ Good morning, Lord Jesus. Let Your Holy Spirit arise in me and in Your Body of Christ throughout the earth, that we may be of One Spirit, hearing and speaking and living in one accord with You—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit of God. … “But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His” (Romans 8:9). Lord, let the true “Spirit of Christ” arise in Your people. Expose every false spirit masquerading as the “Spirit of Christ” in our land and in the earth, seeking to confuse and distort Your truth of Your Word and misrepresent the heart of Your Spirit. You warned us of these days: “For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect” (Matthew 24:24). Your Apostle Paul warned us of these days: “For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it!” (2 Corinthians 11:4). Give us discernment against deception, increased spiritual sensitivity to spiritual distortion, along with boldness to confront what is false, while “speaking the truth in love” (Ephesians 4:15). Not just truth, but also love. Not just love, but also truth. “Speaking the truth in love” and living the truth in love. For You are Love (1 John 4:18). And You are Truth (John 14:6). If we are to be Your Body of Christ, filled with Your Spirit of Christ, as Your “ambassadors for Christ” in our world, we must have the character of Christ formed in us to be expressed through us (2 Corinthians 5:20). As You are, so are we to be in our world (1 John 4:17). So let us arise! Let Your people arise! Speaking the truth in love, living the truth in love, boldly exposing and confronting everything and everyone misrepresenting You and Your Word, presenting “another Jesus” or “a different spirit” or “a different gospel.” Let us not back down or hide away. Let us be fearless and faithful, like those who have gone before us, refusing to bow to the tides of the times or the confusion of culture or pressures of those in positions of power. “Let God arise! Let His enemies be scattered! Let those who hate Him flee before Him” (Psalm 68:1). And let those who love You draw nearer to You more intimately than ever before and speak up for You more boldly than ever before—“filled with the Holy Spirit, and (speaking) the word of God with boldness!” (Acts 4:31) In Jesus’ name I pray. Morning by Morning, June 29, 2026 — “Turn Aside and See” the Presence of God Good morning, Lord Jesus. You are faithful and true, forever with me, here in my heart and every moment of my day. … “Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. Then Moses said, ‘I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.’ “So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, ‘Moses, Moses!’ “And he said, ‘Here I am’” (Exodus 3:1-4). Moses got up one morning–maybe even a Monday morning like today—and went about to begin his week of work. He was going about his business, tending the flock and the things entrusted to his care. But at the beginning of his morning, Moses didn't yet realize just how close he was to “the mountain of God.” He thought it was just another mountain and just another morning. He didn't yet realize the Living Presence of the Living God was so near, even in the everyday moments of his everyday life, “though (the Lord Himself) is not far from each one of us” (Acts 17:27). The key moment of Moses’ revelation of Your Presence came when he made the choice to “turn aside and see.” That’s when You spoke to him out of the flame of fire of the blazing bush. That’s when You gave him eyes to see and ears to hear that You were present. And there in Your Presence, Moses stood on “holy ground” (Exodus 3:5). Lord God, You are “a consuming fire” (Hebrews 12:29). And You have “poured out in our hearts” the consuming fire of Your steadfast love and ever-abiding Presence “by the Holy Spirit who was given to us” the moment we embraced Jesus Christ as Lord in our hearts (Romans 5:5). Every day, Your Spirit moves in the hearts of all who would take time to “turn aside and see,” as You set our hearts ablaze again with the fiery passion for You and to be about Your business of all You’ve entrusted to our care. By Your grace, we carry the fire of God within us wherever we go. We don't have to go to a mountain in the desert or to a temple downtown to “turn aside and see” You in our midst. You’re always here, always with us (Matthew 28:20). You’re always abiding within us by Your Holy Spirit—the "Spirit of Christ" within us (Romans 8:9), “Christ in (us), the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). Because of Your Presence, burning in our hearts like a bush aflame, wherever we go is “holy ground,” for the Holy One lives in us and goes with us. And like Moses, our right response to Your mercy and love is to take time to notice, to take time to embrace Your ever-abiding Presence, to take time to “turn aside and see” and say, “Here I am” because here You are (Exodus 3:4). In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. My friend, may you embrace the ever-abiding Presence of God as you take time to turn aside and see Him throughout the everyday moments of your everyday life in Christ, in Jesus' name. Morning by Morning, June 25, 2026 — Full Maturity for the Harvest Good morning, Lord Jesus. I speak out Your name and listen for Your leading to begin my day with You in the communion of prayer. … “Another parable (Jesus) put forth to them, saying: ‘The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, ‘First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn’” (Matthew 13:24-30). Both “the wheat” and “the tares” have been growing up together. What You have sown and what “the enemy” has sown. Both good and evil. They grow together “until the harvest.” You explained this parable about the kingdom of God to Your first disciples as speaking of “the harvest” at “the end of the age” (v. 39). You said the “good seeds” of the wheat speak of “the sons of the kingdom” and the bad seeds of the tares speak of “the sons of the wicked one,” with both kinds of seeds being sown into “the field” of “the world” (v. 38). All “the seeds” have been growing, both good and evil. Both the sons of the kingdom and the sons of the wicked one are at work in our world. All the effects of all that’s been sown throughout time is now growing up to full maturity, growing up to the time of the harvest here at the end of this age. Let us not be discouraged by the evil we see, but encouraged by the good we see. Let us not be dismayed by all in the world that seems so wicked and evil, but determined to be a part of all that You’re doing in our world. The time of judgment will come for “those who practice lawlessness,” but at the same time, the time of vindication will come for “the righteous” who “will shine as the sun in the kingdom of their Father” (v. 41-43). Lord, keep doing all You need to do in me, that I may be aligned and identified with those who are “righteous” by Your grace, being found faithful to be growing up to full maturity in Your kingdom, with Your kingdom growing to full maturity in me. The days of harvest are coming. The days of growing up to full maturity—whether mature in good or mature in evil, whether mature in the Spirit or mature in the flesh—are here. May I be one who shines for You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today! Morning by Morning, June 24, 2026 — “Put On the New Self” and “Put On the Lord Jesus Christ” Good morning, Lord Jesus. Live in my heart, live through my life (Colossians 3:3). … “Put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its Creator…. Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, and so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony” (Colossians 3:10-14). Help me be intentional to “put on” my new self today. Not just assuming it passively, but embracing it actively. Help me “put on” these characteristics of Your character “after the image of (my) Creator.” And “above all,” help me “put on love.” To “put” this on is to willing choose, by the power of the grace of God at work within me, to let You form Your heart in my heart, Your thoughts in my thoughts, Your desires in my desires in my choices and words and actions. Yes, I am a “new creation” for “the old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17). “For as many of (us) as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ” (Galatians 3:27). And at the same time, I have the responsibility to choose how I will live, how I will allow You to live in me, right now and throughout the moments of my day. By the grace I have, by the grace You’ve given me, I must be the one to choose to “put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires” (Romans 13:14). And so I do—as best as I can and all by Your grace. Apart from You, I can do nothing (John 15:5). And I praise God that I don’t have to live a moment or make any choice apart from You. You are with me always (Matthew 28:20). And always, You are making me more like You each day (Romans 8:29). For as You are, so am I to be in my world (1 John 4:17). In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today!
