Morning by Morning, May 28, 2026 — First in Priority for Spiritual Intimacy with God Good morning, Lord Jesus. I begin my day seeking to abide in You, as You abide in me (John 15:4). … As I wait for the leading of Your Holy Spirit, this comes to my heart: “Seek Me first. Then I will be first. First in all your heart. First in all you are. First in all you do.” … Yes, Lord. This Scripture from Your written Word comes to mind immediately in confirmation of what I believe I’m hearing in my heart as Your spoken word: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33). So simple. And at the same time, so profound. So simple. And such a key to my spiritual journey with You. You must be first. You must be the priority. And that has to begin with the first moments of my morning and then continue throughout the moments of my day. David expressed the same thing, this same perspective of heart and spiritual priority: “One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple” (Psalm 27:4) “To inquire in (Your) temple” is to abide with You in my heart, as You abide with me in my heart (John 15:4). For my heart is Your temple, where I pursue You and embrace You and live out the moments of my day in communion with You—heart to Heart, spirit to Spirit, deep to Deep. With You as my Priority, seeking You first, I experience the Promise and Truth of Your Word from Your invitation to spiritual intimacy: “But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him” (1 Corinthians 6:17). Lord, keep me in that place of spiritual intimacy with You. This I desire. This I seek. That I may dwell with You and You dwell within me, that You may be First in my life right here, right now, and throughout the moments of my day, this day and every day. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Morning by Morning, May 27, 2026 – An Open Door Good morning, Lord Jesus. Put Your thoughts in my mind and Your desires in my heart, as I begin my day in the communion of prayer with You. … As I wait for Your leading, what comes to my heart this morning is this: “See the doors I am opening for you. Step through as I lead.” … Yes, Lord. And now this Word from Your Scripture comes to mind: “For a great and effective door has opened to me...” (1 Corinthians 16:9).   Give me eyes to see and a heart to perceive what You’re showing me and where You’re leading me. “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God” (Romans 8:14). Relationships often open doors. Whether in the natural realm or the spiritual realm. And open doors are opportunities to advance, opportunities to move forward into a new room, a new realm. We pass from where we have been to where we are to be. The most important relationship we have is our relationship with You. And when we’re growing in our relationship with You, You open the doors before us that lead us to where You want us to be—whether physically or spiritually, whether in our world or in our hearts. The Apostle Paul recognized the “great and effective door” You opened for him. He was ready to walk through it, ready to enter into the season and place You had set apart for him and his place in Your kingdom. He sensed by Your Holy Spirit when it was time to stay and time to go, when it was time to plant and time to harvest. Lord, make me sensitive to do the same. Open my eyes to see the doors You open for me. Position me in the right relationships You have chosen for me for my place in Your kingdom in each season. I’ll know the doors You’re opening when my eyes and heart are looking to the One who is my Door. As You said to Your first disciples, so You continue to speak to every disciple, “I am the Door” (John 10:9). You are my Door. You are the most important relationship I have. And I say, Yes, Lord. I am available to You, surrendered to You, committed to following You through every door You open for me. Give me grace to see Your open doors and the courage and obedience I need to walk through them to be right where You want me to be in this season and every season. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Morning by Morning, May 26, 2026 — Ripe for Revival! Good morning, Lord Jesus. Help me begin my day as every day—embraced by my Father, centered in Christ, and filled with Your Holy Spirit. … As I wait for Your leading today, these words rise up in my heart: “Ripe for revival.” … Yes, Lord. Like the fruit of a tree that is only ripe in its season and not before, like the fruit of a tree that must be gathered and picked at its optimum time, like the fruit of a tree that must not be left to rot and fall to the ground, let us see the fruit that is ripe for revival! “Woe is me! For I am like those who gather summer fruits, like those who glean vintage grapes; there is no cluster to eat of the first-ripe fruit which my soul desires” (Micah 7:1). The Prophet Micah desired in his soul to see and to taste the ripe fruit of the trees in summer. But he saw none. He tasted none. It was the season of fruit to be grown to maturity, to be ripe for the picking and for the tasting, but there was none. But what comes to my spirit this morning is the yearning passion to see the fruit ripe for revival. Hearts are hungry. The world is weary. People are desperate and struggle with despair. Hope is fleeting and fear abounds. And these are the very conditions that make this season ripe for revival! For You are the only One who can satisfy. You are the only One who can save us and heal us and free us, who can encourage us and lift us up out of despair, out of our darkness into the glory of Your marvelous Light. You are our only Hope! When we moved through our misery to turn to the Master, to make You Lord and Savior of our souls and every area of our lives, Your Spirit awakens the hope and promises of God within us: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:3-10). Turn our misery into blessing! Turn our helplessness into hope. Turn our time of fruitlessness into a season set apart by You that is ripe for revival! And let Your revival begin in me! In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today!
