Morning by Morning, October 21, 2026 — “In One Accord, All Would Be Won.”
Good morning, Lord Jesus. Help me hear Your heart and move in obedience, as You will and as You lead—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit of God. …
As I wait for the leading of Your Spirit, this thought rises to my mind:
“In one accord, all would be won.” …
And this Scripture, speaking of the power of “one accord,” when we are one in the Spirit and one in the Lord as the Body of Christ in our world:
“So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: ‘Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them, who by the mouth of Your servant David have said:
‘Why did the nations rage, And the people plot vain things? The kings of the earth took their stand, And the rulers were gathered together Against the Lord and against His Christ.’
“For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done. Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.
"And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness!” (Acts 4:24-31)
In “one accord,” all would be won. In “one accord,” whatever adversities we face, whatever challenges we encounter, whatever threats of oppression or persecution or intimidation we endure, all would be won. We would overcome.
In the power of grace, we would pray deeply and speak boldly. We would be Your body, Your disciples, Your ambassadors in another great move of Your Spirit that could not be stopped, in a rushing tide that could not be turned back.
In the power of Your grace, we would see You stretching out Your hand and moving in Your power in the ways we long to see and the ways Your Word has promised:
“I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18 ESV).
Come, Holy Spirit! Come unite our hearts in “one accord.” Unite our hearts and our prayers with You and with one another.
Whether standing up with our votes in an election or speaking out our voices against the societal pressures and moral decay of our day or however Your Spirit stirs our hearts to boldly be the Body of Christ in our day, in “one accord,” all would be won. In “one accord,” we would be able to declare, “Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” (1 Corinthians 15:57) In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
