Morning by Morning, June 25, 2026 — Full Maturity for the Harvest Good morning, Lord Jesus. I speak out Your name and listen for Your leading to begin my day with You in the communion of prayer. … “Another parable (Jesus) put forth to them, saying: ‘The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, ‘First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn’” (Matthew 13:24-30). Both “the wheat” and “the tares” have been growing up together. What You have sown and what “the enemy” has sown. Both good and evil. They grow together “until the harvest.” You explained this parable about the kingdom of God to Your first disciples as speaking of “the harvest” at “the end of the age” (v. 39). You said the “good seeds” of the wheat speak of “the sons of the kingdom” and the bad seeds of the tares speak of “the sons of the wicked one,” with both kinds of seeds being sown into “the field” of “the world” (v. 38). All “the seeds” have been growing, both good and evil. Both the sons of the kingdom and the sons of the wicked one are at work in our world. All the effects of all that’s been sown throughout time is now growing up to full maturity, growing up to the time of the harvest here at the end of this age. Let us not be discouraged by the evil we see, but encouraged by the good we see. Let us not be dismayed by all in the world that seems so wicked and evil, but determined to be a part of all that You’re doing in our world. The time of judgment will come for “those who practice lawlessness,” but at the same time, the time of vindication will come for “the righteous” who “will shine as the sun in the kingdom of their Father” (v. 41-43). Lord, keep doing all You need to do in me, that I may be aligned and identified with those who are “righteous” by Your grace, being found faithful to be growing up to full maturity in Your kingdom, with Your kingdom growing to full maturity in me. The days of harvest are coming. The days of growing up to full maturity—whether mature in good or mature in evil, whether mature in the Spirit or mature in the flesh—are here. May I be one who shines for You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today! Morning by Morning, June 24, 2026 — “Put On the New Self” and “Put On the Lord Jesus Christ” Good morning, Lord Jesus. Live in my heart, live through my life (Colossians 3:3). … “Put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its Creator…. Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, and so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony” (Colossians 3:10-14). Help me be intentional to “put on” my new self today. Not just assuming it passively, but embracing it actively. Help me “put on” these characteristics of Your character “after the image of (my) Creator.” And “above all,” help me “put on love.” To “put” this on is to willing choose, by the power of the grace of God at work within me, to let You form Your heart in my heart, Your thoughts in my thoughts, Your desires in my desires in my choices and words and actions. Yes, I am a “new creation” for “the old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17). “For as many of (us) as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ” (Galatians 3:27). And at the same time, I have the responsibility to choose how I will live, how I will allow You to live in me, right now and throughout the moments of my day. By the grace I have, by the grace You’ve given me, I must be the one to choose to “put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires” (Romans 13:14). And so I do—as best as I can and all by Your grace. Apart from You, I can do nothing (John 15:5). And I praise God that I don’t have to live a moment or make any choice apart from You. You are with me always (Matthew 28:20). And always, You are making me more like You each day (Romans 8:29). For as You are, so am I to be in my world (1 John 4:17). In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Morning by Morning, June 23, 2026 — My Firm Foundation Good morning, Lord Jesus. I welcome You here in my heart and every moment of my day. … As I watch and wait to listen for the leading of Your Holy Spirit, these words rise up in my heart: “Firm foundation. I AM your Firm Foundation. Let your faith be firm in Me. Let your hope be secure in Me. And now is the time to let My Firm Foundation be established in you. Then in times to come, in the times that come upon the earth, you will not crumble or falter or fail, but you will be strong in Me, firm in Me, for you have allowed Me to build My Firm Foundation in you.” … Yes, Lord. As I discern and process these spoken words I believe I’m hearing in my heart, Your Written Word comes to mind in confirmation: “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great” (Luke 6:46-49). Lord, thank You for speaking to my heart. May I hear what You’re saying and then do what You’re saying. And the main thing I believe I hear You saying is that we should take time now to build our foundation of trust in You, dependence upon You, learning to hear and trust and obey. If we take time now, we will be prepared and established and secure for when there may not be time like this in days to come. Let my foundation of faith be built upon the rock. Give me grace to dig deep, that my foundation will be deep. Deep and secure and strong, whatever winds or floods or shaking may come, as we go through whatever times are ahead. Without fear and filled with faith. Not insecure, but secure and confident in You. You are my Rock. You are my Firm Foundation. You won’t fail me. And by the grace of God being revealed to me and established in me, may I not fail You and may I fulfill all You have in Your heart for me and my life in You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Morning by Morning, June 22, 2026 — Honoring Fathers. Honoring Sons and Daughters. Good morning, Lord Jesus. Thank You for my journey with You every day—morning by morning and moment by moment, as I abide in You and You abide in me, grounded in Your Word and living in Your Spirit (John 15:4). … Yesterday was Father’s Day. And these spiritual principles from the Word of God still come to mind today: “‘Honor your father and mother,’ which is the first commandment with promise: ‘that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.’ And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:2-4). Honor and respect are foundational in any relationship. We honor with respect, with love, with appropriate obedience and submission to godly authority, with our words and our attitudes and our actions. We honor with time and attention, with encouragement and affirmation. As You have intended, our earthly relationships are to be a reflection of our heavenly relationship with You. You are a good, good Father, honoring us with love and life. And we are Your sons and daughters, through Jesus Christ our Lord, honoring You with our obedience and respect. In a relationship like that, it goes well with us. And at the same time, when our relationships are not like that, it doesn’t go so well. Your Word doesn’t say to just honor good fathers and good mothers or to refrain from provoking only good sons and good daughters. But all fathers and all mothers, all sons and all daughters. Sometimes honor comes through forgiveness for the failure to be who You created them and called them to be. Sometimes honor comes through letting go of the past and not hardening our hearts in judgment as if to say that’s just how they are, how they’ll always be, and they’ll never change; but rather, agreeing with the Redeemer to bring change instead of agreeing with the accuser to condemn. Restoration of these relationships—especially those strained and torn—is one of the signs of the end times, for the revival and great harvest at the end of the age: “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse” (Malachi 4:5-6). Lord, send Your Spirit of restoration in the hearts of Your people in these significant relationships. Let us experience Your blessing and not Your curse, great revival rather great destruction—in our hearts, in our relationships, and in all the earth. With honor and respect, toward You and one another, may it go well for us all. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today!
