Morning by Morning, March 11, 2026 — “Cluster Bombs” Cannot Break the “Everlasting Covenant” Good morning, Lord Jesus. I look to You and welcome You here in my heart and every moment of my day—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit of God. ... As I wait for Your leading this morning, the horrifying images of what’s now happening to the people of Israel come to mind. The current leaders of Iran are now exploding “cluster bombs” in midair above the civilian populations of Israel to send shrapnel in every direction against indiscriminate human targets to maximize fear and panic among the men, women, and children. But these “cluster bombs” will never break Your “everlasting covenant” with the people of that land: “He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth. He remembers His covenant forever, The word which He commanded, for a thousand generations, The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac, And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel as an everlasting covenant, Saying, ‘To you I will give the land of Canaan As the allotment of your inheritance,’ When they were few in number, Indeed very few, and strangers in it. When they went from one nation to another, From one kingdom to another people, He permitted no one to do them wrong; Yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes, Saying, ‘Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm’” (Psalm 105:7-15). O Lord, our God, I know my prayers are not politically correct according to those who “call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness” as Your Word warns us they would in these days (Isaiah 5:20). But these are my prayers from my heart. I pray for a speedy and just end to the true source of evil and depravity sending terror into our world. And the ultimate source of that evil is a spiritual wickedness bent on the utter annihilation of the people of Your “everlasting covenant” (Ephesians 6:12). But we are to pray for them—for their salvation, their protection, and their peace—the peace that only comes for all of us through a living relationship with You (Psalm 122:6; John 14:6). The decision-makers of the nations of this world will make their choices, whether for good or for evil. But Your word will stand. It will not return void (Isaiah 55:11). You will watch over Your word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). And Your “everlasting covenant” will never be broken. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today! Morning by Morning, March 6, 2026 — “Rock Solid Faith” Good morning, Lord Jesus. Help me begin my day embraced by Father, centered in Christ, and filled with Your Holy Spirit. ... “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock” (Matthew 7:24-25). Let my house be built on Your rock. Rock solid faith. Faith in You. Trust in You. In this world, we’ll have tribulation, but You’ve overcome this world and You’re with us through whatever tribulation comes (John 16:33). In fact, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God” (Acts 14:22). The tribulations of the rains and floods and winds, in whatever form, may beat against the house of our hearts and our faith. But with every one that You empower us to overcome, our faith grows stronger, more secure in You. With the rock solid faith, You’re establishing in us, we declare our agreement with the heart of David, who saw Your deliverance through patient, persistent faith in You until he entered the kingdom You had for him: “I will love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies” (Psalm 18:1-3). In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today! Morning by Morning, March 5, 2026 — “Take Heart and Fear Not.” Morning by Morning, March 5, 2026 — “Take Heart and Fear Not.” Good morning, Lord Jesus. You’re “Lord of all” (Acts 10:36). Be Lord of all I am, all I’ll do, and all I’ll encounter today. ... In these days of war and threats of terror in retaliation, this word comes to mind: “Take heart and fear not.” ... And Your written Word in confirmation of what I believe I hear in my heart as Your spoken word: “I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). To “take heart” is to trust in You no matter what. To “take heart” is to entrust my heart to Your Heart, my spirit to Your Spirit, my life to Your Life. In this broken and fallen world, we “will have tribulation” until the day You return in Your glory (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). But every day between this day and that day to come, You come in Your glory in our hearts. “Christ in (us), the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). As the glory of Your Presence fills our hearts, we “take heart” in You. We trust in You. We overcome whatever “tribulation” we encounter in You. “Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” (1 Corinthians 15:57) In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Morning by Morning, March 4, 2026 — “Strike Terror No More.” Good morning, Lord Jesus. I speak out Your name and listen for Your leading, seeking to be grounded in Your Word and led by Your Spirit—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit of God. ... As I wait, what comes up from my spirit and into my mind is this phrase: “Strike terror no more.” ... And this Passage of Scripture ending with the Words of this Declaration: “Rise up, O Lord; O God, lift up Your hand;    do not forget the oppressed. Why do the wicked renounce God    and say in their hearts, ‘You will not call us to account’? But You do see! Indeed, You note trouble and grief,    that You may take it into Your hands; the helpless commit themselves to You;    You have been the helper of the orphan. Break the arm of the wicked and evildoers;    seek out their wickedness until You find none. The Lord is king forever and ever;    the nations shall perish from His land. O Lord, You will hear the desire of the meek;    You will strengthen their heart; You will incline Your ear to do justice for the orphan and the oppressed,    so that those from earth may strike terror no more” (Psalm 18:12-18). We are witnessing in our world an historic, heroic confrontation of evil. With their arms and armaments, designed to inflict terror and fear and intimidation in our world, You have inclined Your ear to “do justice,” to “break the arm of the wicked and evildoers,” until they “strike terror no more,” until “You find none.” Ultimately, our battle is not against human flesh and blood, but the spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). Ultimately, the weapons of our warfare are not earthly weapons, but heavenly weapons, that bring down strongholds of wickedness, evil, and terror (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). And in these battles, You use the means You chose, calling us to pray for those making decisions and enforcing Your justice in our world (Romans 13:3-4). Courage is always costly. Security often requires sacrifice. But You move in power on behalf of those who “commit themselves to You.” As You “Rise up, O Lord,” as You “lift up Your hand” in these days of confrontation, may Your Spirit grant wisdom and discernment in every decision. And may we come into agreement across our nation and in the nations of our world that “the wicked and evildoers” must “strike terror no more.” In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today!
