Morning by Morning, March 25, 2026 — “Possess the Land”

 

Morning by Morning, March 25, 2026 — “Possess the Land” Good morning, Lord Jesus. I set my mind on You, to begin my day embraced by my Father, centered in Christ, and filled with Your Holy Spirit (Colossians 3:2). ... As I wait in the silence and listen for Your leading, what I hear in my heart is this: “Possess the land I have entrusted to you.” ... What “land,” Lord? ... “Your land is your sphere of influence. Where you set the soles of your feet, where you speak the words of My heart, where you carry the light of My truth and express the heart of My love, where you take your stand against evil, where you stretch out your hand to the needy, where you are My expression of My Presence flowing through you by My Spirit.” ... Yes, Lord. This Word comes to mind: “After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying: ‘Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.’ ... Have I not commended you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go’” (Joshua 1:1-9). Give me strength and courage, wisdom and sensitivity to the leading of Your Spirit, as I possess the “land” You’ve entrusted to me today. May I be a carrier of Your light and truth and love in every sphere of influence You’re entrusting to me (Matthew 5:14). May I represent You well as one of Your “ambassadors for Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:20). In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today! Morning by Morning, March 24, 2026 — Christ is Life Good morning, Lord Jesus. King of Kings and Lord of Lords, come rule and reign in my heart and life (Revelation 19:16). ... “When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory” (Colossians 3:4). You are my life. ... Lord Jesus, help me understand more of what this means. ... Here’s what comes to my heart and rises up to mind: “I am the way and the truth and the life. To the degree you embrace Me as your way, as your truth, as your life, I am your life. Abide in Me and allow Me to abide in you. Live in Me and allow Me to live in you.” ... Yes, Lord. These Scriptures come to mind from Your written Word in confirmation of what I believe I’m hearing as Your spoken word, in the way You say, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27): “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.... If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love” (John 15:4-5, 7-10). By the power of Your grace, in Your mercy and love, keep transforming me, keep renewing my mind, keep making me more like You with Your way, Your truth, and Your life being formed in me (Romans 12:1-2). Keep conforming me into the image of the Son of God (Romans 8:29). Keep making me more like You every day, “because as (You are), so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17). Christ is life. Christ is my life. Thank You for the grace You give me to embrace this truth and live into it throughout the moments of my days. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today! Morning by Morning, March 23, 2026 — “Expectant” Good morning, Lord Jesus. Take me by the heart and lead me by Your Spirit, for the sons and daughters of God are led by the Spirit of God (Romans 8:14). ... As I wait, what comes to my heart is the word “Expectant.” “My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God. “Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah” (Psalm 62:5-8). With expectant faith, I turn to You and trust in You. With an expectant heart, I’m secure in You, confident in You. And with an expectant hope, I’m looking forward to see all You will do in me and through me this day. I’m expectant of good things today. Because You’re a good God. You have good plans for me, “to give (me) a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11). You are for me. And “If God is for (me), who can be against (me)?” (Romans 8:31) Expectant. Encouraged. Excited to see what You will do this day and every day, as I entrust this day and every day into Your hands. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today!
