Morning by Morning, May 29, 2025 - “Fan into Flame!” Good morning, Lord Jesus. This day and every day, I seek to begin my day embraced by my Father, centered in Christ, and filled with the Holy Spirit. ... “For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands” (2 Timothy 1:6). Holy Spirit, You are the Gift of God which is within me. You are the Source of any gifts of the Spirit and fruit of the Spirit that abide within me. May Your gifts be fanned into flame, stirred up, rekindled afresh to burn with the Light of Your glory for the glory of Your name. Set me ablaze with Your Fire. Awaken me. Revive me. Anoint me and empower me to be one of Your burning ones, burning with a passion for You and Your kingdom that will never burn out. “For our God is a Consuming Fire!” (Hebrews 12:29). Consume me, O God! Consume me with a passion for all that consumes You. Burn out of me all that’s not like You. And burn like a Fire all that needs to be consumed around me—in my heart, my family, my city, my nation, my world. As in the days of Isaiah, take a coal from Your heavenly altar and touch my lips and words, my heart and life, to fan my faith into flame with the refreshed and rekindled determination, “Here I am, Lord. Send me!” (Isaiah 6:8) In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen Be encouraged today.
