Morning by Morning, February 20, 2026 — Shalom—“And Give You Peace”
Good morning, Lord Jesus. Grounded in Your Word, filled with Your Spirit, I seek Your face and listen for the leading of Your voice (John 10:27). ...
As I wait, what I hear in my heart are these words of Your Spirit, “And give you peace.” ...
This Scripture of blessing immediately comes to mind:
“The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace” (Numbers 6:24-26).
You bless us and give us Your peace. Your shalom.
Shalom is nothing missing, nothing broken, nothing left undone.
Lord, I receive Your blessing of peace today. You provided for our peace through Your suffering of sacrifice upon the Cross, that we might be healed and whole, forgiven and free, through all You have done for us (Isaiah 53:4-55 fulfilled in Matthew 8:17).
In Your peace, “I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1). In Your peace, I “shall not lack any good thing” (Psalm 34:10). In Your peace, I trust You that “He who has begun a good work in (me) will complete it” (Philippians 1:6).
Thank You that “the God of peace will crush Satan under (our) feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with (us)” (Romans 16:20). Thank You that “the God of peace”—the God of shalom—will “sanctify (us) completely; and may (our) whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls (us) is faithful, who also will do it” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24).
What You said long ago, You still speak today: “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27). Thank You for giving me Your peace, Your shalom, this day and every day—with nothing missing, nothing broken, nothing left undone. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
