Morning by Morning, June 8, 2026 – Daily Invitation to Spiritual Intimacy Good morning, Lord Jesus. I begin my day with no barriers between us, but pursuing You, embracing communion with You—heart to Heart, spirit to Spirit, deep calling out to Deep (Psalm 42:7). … Responding to Your invitation to spiritual intimacy, I’m reminded of the Promise of Your Word that nothing can separate us: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?... “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:35-39). This invitation to spiritual intimacy is an expression of Your love and mercy that are new every morning and constantly available every moment: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;    His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning;    great is Your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23). Yes, Lord. “But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope” (Lamentations 3:21). “‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul,    ‘therefore I will hope in Him.’ The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,    to the soul who seeks Him” (Lamentations 3:24-25). My soul seeks You. My heart embraces You. My spirit waits upon You. As the old hymn passionately proclaims: Morning by morning, new mercies I see…. Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow…. Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me. Yes, Lord. Great is Thy faithfulness. Faithful to keep reaching  out to me, to keep inviting me to embrace You in the never-ending invitation to spiritual intimacy with You. For Your love is steadfast and never ceasing.  And Your mercies never come to an end. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today! Morning by Morning, June 5, 2026 — “Remember the Goodness of God” Good morning, Lord Jesus. My Lord and Savior, Lord of my life and Savior of my soul, I open my heart and welcome You into every moment of my day. … As I wait for the leading of Your Holy Spirit, this comes to my heart: “Remember the goodness of God.” … And the Words of David come to mind right away from Psalm 103: “Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s” (Psalm 103:1-5). Yes, Lord. I remember Your goodness. I forget not all Your benefits. I thank You for every time You have been with me through the battles, You have guided me through the questions, You have encouraged me through the discouragements. You’ve never left me and never forsaken me. You’ve even used all that’s happened to me to develop Your character within me. And You still are. Just like You’ve been with me “always” in my past, You’ll be with me “always” in my future, and You’re with me “always” right now. Just as You said long ago, You continue to speak to my spirit and to the hearts of all who call on Your name and trust in Your goodness: “And lo, I AM with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20). So my soul blesses You. My soul remembers You and Your goodness and all Your benefits and all Your ever-abiding Presence with me “always.” You’ve “redeemed” me and “renewed” me. And right now You’re reminding me of all Your “lovingkindness” and “tender mercies,” all Your forgiveness and healing, all the ways You “satisfy (me) with good things”—the “good things” that really matter, here in my heart and my personal, intimate, trusting and loving relationship with You morning by morning and moment by moment—just because You’re a good God. This day, I choose to “remember the goodness of God.” This day, I choose to thank You and praise You and entrust my life to You and to “the goodness of God.” In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Morning by Morning, June 4, 2026 — Persevering Faith in Our Ever-Present God Good morning, Lord Jesus. As I come into the communion of prayer with You—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit of God—I look and listen for Your leading. … This powerful Word of the Promise of Your Presence rises up in my spirit: “But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: ‘Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place. Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life. Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, And gather you from the west; I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ And to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’ Bring My sons from afar, And My daughters from the ends of the earth— Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him” (Isaiah 43:1-7). I am created for Your glory. I am formed and made by You. I am forgiven and freed and redeemed by You. I am loved by You and honored by You. I am blessed and protected and empowered by You. So all my faith, all my trust, all my hope is in You. You are always with me. You’re always reminding me that I’m always with You. And You’re always bringing me through everything I encounter on my journey through this broken and fallen world, even using all I go through to develop my character, to build my faith, to make me more like You each day. It’s part of Your plan and Your process to conform me into the image of the Son of God (Romans 8:29). For as You are, so am I to be in this world (1 John 4:17). As I keep looking to You, trusting in You, holding on to You as You keep holding on to me, You’re changing me into the character of Your image “from glory to glory,” as I go through challenge after challenge on my journey of faith (2 Corinthians 3:18). When I go “through the waters” You are with me. When I go “through the rivers” You are with me. When I go “through the fire” You are with me. You never leave me nor forsake me (Hebrews 13:5). You’re always with me, always encouraging me, always empowering me. You’re always turning it all around into good for me, no matter how bad it feels, no matter the sources of anything coming against me to try to steal and kill and destroy (Romans 8:28). Your life is being formed in me, even the abundance of all the life You have for me (John 10:10). So I will not be afraid. I will not fear. For You are with me. You always have been and You always will be. And You’re always reminding me that I am Yours, that You are mine, that You love me and call me by name and I am even “precious in (Your) sight” (Isaiah 43:4). O, what a mighty and loving and ever-present God You are! I worship and adore You and entrust all my life to You! For You are worthy of all my faith and trust and hope. You are worthy of all my surrender and all my love! In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today! Morning by Morning, June 3, 2026 — “Close the Doors to Distractions” Good morning, Lord Jesus. I speak out Your name and listen for Your leading to begin my day in the communion of prayer with You (John 10:27). … As I wait, I hear these word comes to my heart: “Close the doors to distractions.” … Yes, Lord. And this written Word comes to mind in confirmation and development of what I believe I’m hearing as Your spoken word: “You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops. Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things” (2 Timothy 2:1-7). The “distractions” are the entanglements “with the affairs of this life” that steal away my time and dilute my focus and divert my path from what is my calling and commissioning in Your will for my life. Forgive me for when I’ve given in to those distractions. Free me from trifling away my time on meaningless things, even as You allow me the grace of Your rest and renewal. Renew my focus. Reenergize my passion. Realign my heart with Yours, my thoughts with Yours. Shut the doors to my distractions and open the doors to my destiny in You, “that (I) may know what is the hope of (Your) calling” for me in my life during this season (Ephesians 1:18). “For we are (Your) workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which (You) prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10). In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today!
