"All in All" 7-17-05

Good morning, Lord Jesus. I call upon Your name, the name above every name. I lift my face to You, focus my thoughts on You, open my heart to You, in complete surrender to You. This is our Father's means of conforming us into the image of Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. We become like what we worship (2 Corinthians 3.18). As You have taught me to teach my kids to pray, "Lord Jesus, make me more like You each day." ... "God put this power to work in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the age to come. And He has put all things under His feet and has made Him head over all things for the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all" (Ephesians 1.20-23). Fill us with Your Spirit, conform us into Your image, make us more like You each day. While You are seated "in the heavenly places," we are Your body on earth by the presence of Your Spirit in our hearts, "the fullness of Him who fills all in all." "If the Spirit of Him of raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through His Spirit that dwells in You" (Romans 8.11). So let us begin, and continue, and end each day looking to You, listening to You, led by You. Let us live our lives in Christ more fully each day as You continually fill us with Your fullness, by the presence and the power of Your Holy Spirit -- for Your glory in this age and in the age to come.
