Treasure in Heaven 9-23-08
Good morning, Lord Jesus. Father and Son, abide in me by Your Holy Spirit, I pray. ...
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal; but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" (Matthew 6:19-21).
Lord, how do I store up treasures in heaven? ...
It seems I hear You say, "My son, in a sense, heaven is My heart. Have My heart, and you will have heaven -- not only in the heaven to come, but in your heart right now."
Yes, Lord. How do I have Your heart? ...
"By opening your heart and asking. By letting Me put My thoughts in your mind and My desires in your heart, by letting Me change your nature into My nature. Treasure My heart. Seek to have it with all the grace that I give you, with all the grace that you need, and you will have treasure in heaven."
Yes, Lord. That's what I want. That's what I choose. That's what I ask -- a heart transplant, a heart transformation. A little more each day, as much as I can bear, form Your heart in mine. "A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will remove from your body the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you ..." (Ezekiel 36:26-27). In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
