Morning by Morning, July 12 - Hearing the Call to Come! -- Beginning Our Ministry Trip to Kenya Today Good morning, Lord Jesus. I am Yours and You are mine (Song of Solomon 6:3). Lead me where You will today. ... I’m heading to the airport in Austin on my way to Nairobi, with a stopover to meet up with some family who will be in Rome. City by city, step by step, I’m available to You to let Your Light and Your Love flow through my heart, my words, and even my smile of the joy of the Lord all along the way, however You will. For two weeks in the city of Nyeri, Kenya, I’ll be part of a team of evangelists, preaching and ministering in a diversity of settings in satellite festivals, universities and schools, orphanages, prisons, seats of government, the city streets, and all culminating in a giant soccer stadium gathering. I’m so thrilled to be preaching my own satellite festival for 4 nights the first week and teaching a pastor and leaders conference on deliverance prayer ministry, along with the other assignments along the way. Over 150 pastors, overseers, spiritual leaders, and intercessors across the region have united in the Spirit to invite us to come and share the Good News of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God in Jesus’ mighty name! What comes to mind is an image from Scripture when the Apostle Paul saw a man from Macedonia in his dreams, calling him and his team to come to his people and share the hope and faith in their hearts: “A vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, ‘Come over to Macedonia and help us.’ Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them” (Acts 16:9-10). Just as Paul and his team heard and answered Your call come to Macedonia, we have heard Your call to come to Kenya. Our team will come from several nations -- India, South Africa, United States, and other parts of Kenya -- to share the hope within us (1 Peter 3:15). May Your Word be proclaimed, the name of Jesus be exalted, the Holy Spirit move in power, and the love of God be released like a river everywhere You send us, with signs and wonders following in salvation, healing, deliverance, revival, and awakening! (Mark 16:17-20; Hebrews 2:4) In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
