Morning by Morning, February 14 - “Ambassadors for Christ” - Faithful Ambassadors of the Love of God   Good morning, Lord Jesus. I need You every hour and welcome You here in my heart every moment. ... “Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God” (2 Corinthians 5:20).   An ambassador is a representative of the one who sent them, fulling the mission given to them, expressing the heart and character and will and intentions of the one delegating responsibility and authority to them. And we are Your ambassadors -- “ambassadors for Christ.”   So fill me afresh with Your Spirit today (Ephesians 5:18). Make me more like You today (Romans 8:29). As You are, so am I to be in my world today (1 John 4:17).   Forgive me of my sins and everything I’ve done that’s less than Your will (1 John 1:9). Crucify me of my flesh and everything that’s less than Your character (Galatians 2:20). Purify my heart and everything that’s less than Your desires (Matthew 5:8).   May I represent You well today -- in all that I do, all that I say, all that I pray -- right here, right now, and in every place and to every person that You send me as Your “ambassador.”   You said they will know me as one of Your ambassadors, as one of Your disciples, by my love (John 13:35). Help me, empower me, fill me, anoint me to love well today, to represent You well today. In this, by Your grace at work within me and flowing through me, this day will be a success. For Your love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8). “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love” (1 Corinthians 13:13). In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
