Morning by Morning, July 11, 2025 - When We Don’t Know, God Does Good morning, Lord Jesus. My eyes are on You—My Stability and Strength. My Wisdom and the One Who Knows the Way because You are the Way. ... “Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with groanings too deep for words. And God, who searches hearts, knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God” (Romans 8:26-27). Thank You for Your Spirit, who lives and moves in me and every believer in You—“the Spirit of Life” (Romans 8:2), “the Spirit of God” (Romans 8:9), “the Spirit of Christ” (Romans 8:9), “the Holy Spirit” of the Living God “who has been given to us” (Romans 5:5). Thank You for helping us in our weakness. Thank You for showing us how to pray when we don’t even know how to pray, how to believe when our faith is wavering, how to trust in the midst of every tragedy and trauma that would come to overwhelm us and overtake us if it weren’t for You. Thank You for searching our hearts, securing our minds, and setting the feet our faith on the Solid Ground that never washes away no matter how fierce or unforgiving the storm. When our “groanings” are “too deep for words,” Your Spirit “groans” through us, prays through us, “intercedes” for us in the ways we need. Even when we don’t fully know what we need or “how to pray as we ought.” All “according to will of God.” We don’t know, but You do. We don’t know how to pray or what to do, but You do. You know how to invite us in, how to build us up, how to keep us in the love and mercy of God no matter what we’re going through with Your gift to Your children of praying in Your Spirit: “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life” (Jude 1:20-21). As You lift our eyes to be upon You, You’re calling us and empowering us to pray Your prayers, in accordance with Your will, as we pray by Your Spirit. Let us not neglect so great a gift of “praying in the Holy Spirit” (Jude 1:20). It’s part of our heritage, part of our calling and gifting in our identity as children of God. “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the children of God” (Romans 8:14). And it’s part of the way You’ve provided to keep us “at perfect peace” with our minds and hearts steadfast on You, praying in alignment and agreement with You, putting our hope and trust in You (Isaiah 26:3). “I pray that the God who gives hope will fill (us) with much joy and peace while (we) trust in Him. Then (our) hope will overflow by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13). In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

My friend, may you keep your eyes on the Lord, looking to Him, and praying in the Holy Spirit according to will of God, even when you don't know how to pray or what to do, for He does, in Jesus' name. And I join with you in pray for all those suffering through the devastation of the Texas floods. God bless you and God bless America, my friend! And you have a great day!
