Morning by Morning, October 29, 2025 – “Being Transformed” into the “Image” of the Son of God “from Glory to Glory” Good morning, Lord Jesus. I fix my gaze and direct my focus to You. ... “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:18). “With unveiled face.” Unveil my face as I behold You, Lord. Unveil my heart as I draw near to you in worship and prayer, in surrender and trust. Reveal and remove every barrier and blockage that would hinder me from seeing You as You are and seeing myself as You see me. Replace all of that with all of You in Your abiding Presence, uncompromising Truth, and abounding Love. “Beholding.” Stir in my heart to lift up my face to behold Your face. Heart to Heart, face to Face, spirit to Spirit. “Deep calls unto Deep” (Psalm 42:7). As I draw near to You, You draw near to me (James 4:8). “Being transformed.” Keep transforming me, changing me, making me more like You as I seek You, behold You, and embrace You. As Your Word invites me, “Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always” (1 Chronicles 16:11). “Now devote your heart and soul to seeking the Lord your God” (1 Chronicles 22:19). “Into the same image.” It’s Your Image I seek; It’s You I seek. And You seek to make me more like You, to be conformed into the image of the Son of God (Romans 8:29). As You are, so am I to be in my world (1 John 4:17). “From glory to glory.” Not in an instant, but in a process. Even though it’s done immediately in the heavenly dimension of my being from the moment I’m saved (Ephesians 2:5), here in this earthly dimension it’s a spiritual journey that unfolds “from glory to glory”, layer by layer, step by step, day by day, moment by moment all along the way. You will be faithful to bring to completion the good work You have begun in me (Philippians 1:6). “By the Spirit of the Lord.” I can’t do this own my own, not in my power, my wisdom, my righteousness, my good works or good intents. Apart from You, I can do nothing (John 15:5). But You can and You are. You’re moving in me by Your Spirit, giving me right desires and Your power to do what pleases You (Philippians 2:13). And what pleases You is for me to focus on You, to behold You, to allow You to keep changing me into Your image from glory to glory, secure in my identity, fulfilling my destiny, as a child of God and disciple of Christ. In seeking, there is finding. In finding, there is beholding. In beholding, there is embracing. In embracing, there is love. There is love because You first loved me (1 John 4:19). And in Your love for me, You are changing me from the inside out “into (Your) image from glory to glory.” It’s not by my might nor my power, not by my goodness nor my worthiness, but by Your Spirit (Zechariah 4:6) — “just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” I can’t earn it or deserve it. But it’s available to me every time I seek You, pursue You, behold You and allow You to make me more like You. Morning by morning, moment by moment, “from glory to glory.” Just as Your Word promises, You’ll be faithful to take me to my spiritual destination on my spiritual journey of pursuing You: “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure” (1 John 3:1-3). Purify me. Change me. Make me more like You, more and more every day, Lord -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit of God. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today. In the love of Jesus, Tommy Hays
