Morning by Morning, October 24, 2025 – “Every Word of God Proves True”
Good morning, Lord Jesus. You are “The Word of God” (Revelation 19:13). So as I seek You first thing in my morning, I seek “The Word of God” that I may begin my day grounded in Your Word and filled with Your Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). ...
“Every Word of God proves true; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him” (Proverbs 30:5).
Your Word is true. You are true. You are “Faithful and True” (Revelation 19:11). In You, “the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14).
When we look to You, we look to the Word of God. When we read the Word of God, we see You. When we embrace the Word of God, we embrace You. When we set our hearts to live our lives in submission and surrender to the Word and the will of God, Your Word becomes flesh in us.
So grant me Your grace to trust You and Your Word, to know You and Your Word. For Your Words are true and they can be trusted (Revelation 22:6).
In contrast, the words of this world so often falter and fail, filled with lies to get by or get ahead, to take advantage and manipulate, to express a narrative ungrounded in truth, unrestrained by reality, and unashamed to deceive. So I pray for discernment to know the difference. And I embrace the Promise of Your Word to grant me Your discernment if I will seek it:
“Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding, If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; He guards the paths of justice, And preserves the way of His saints. Then you will understand righteousness and justice, Equity and every good path” (Proverbs 2:3-9).
So I cry out for discernment. I lift up my heart for wisdom. I embrace the truth of “The Word of God” as I embrace the One who is forever “Faithful and True.” In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
