“Above Every Name” - July 12, 2022

Morning by Morning, July 12 - “Above Every Name”
 
Good morning, Lord Jesus. You are my “All in All” (Ephesians 1:23). Lead me into all You have for me today. ...
 
“God put this power to work in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the age to come. And He has put all things under His feet and has made Him the head over all things for the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all” (Ephesians 1:20-23).
 
Your name is “above every name.” Your name is above every name and form and shape of “rule and authority and power and dominion” in this world. Your name is above “all things.”
 
There is power in Your name. And Your name is powerful -- more powerful than we can fully comprehend, more powerful that we can fully appreciate.
 
“Jesus” from the Greek language of the New Testament. “Yeshua” from the Hebrew of the Old Testament. Your name is the declaration of our salvation -- “the riches of (our) glorious inheritance” and “the immeasurable greatness of (Your) power for us who believe” (v. 18-19).
 
So I lift up Your name in my spirit and speak out Your name in my words. And the power of God -- “the immeasurable greatness of (Your) power” is released within me and upon me and all around me in ways I can’t fully see and can only imagine.
 
There is salvation in “no other name under Heaven” (Acts 4:12). And there is nothing in Heaven or on Earth that can withstand the power and authority of Your name:
 
“Therefore God exalted Him even more highly
    and gave Him the name
    that is above every other name,
so that at the name given to Jesus
    every knee should bow,
    in Heaven and on Earth and under the Earth,
and every tongue should confess
    that Jesus Christ is Lord,
    to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11).
 
I bow before You today, Lord Jesus. I speak out Your name today, Lord Jesus. I declare You are in all and over all, that You are my All in All, “to the glory of God (my) Father” today, Lord Jesus. And now let every “rule and authority and power and dominion” that I encounter in my world today bow down before You and the power of Your name. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
