Morning by Morning, July 13 - Go in the Name of God Who is Love
Good morning, Lord Jesus. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit of God, I welcome You in every dimension of Your Being into every dimension of my being. ...
“And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age’” (Matthew 28:18-20).
We go in Your name. We make disciples in Your name. We baptize in Your name. We teach in Your name. We obey in Your name. We remember in Your name.
Your name -- “Jesus” in the Greek of the New Testament and “Yeshua” in the Hebrew of the Old Testament -- is the name above all names (Philippians 2:9). There is salvation in none other (Acts 4:12).
As with names in Scripture, Your name reveals Your nature. And at the heart of Your name and Your nature is Your love, for “God is Love” (1 John 4:16). If we don’t get that, if we don’t understand that and embrace that and live that, we don’t really know Your name or Your nature, as Your Word declares:
“Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is Love (1 John 3:8).
“God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them” (1 John 4:16).
“We love because He first loved us. Those who say, ‘I love God,’ and hate a brother or sister are liars, for those who do not love a brother or sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. The commandment we have from Him is this: those who love God must love their brothers and sisters also” (1 John 4:19-21).
So when we go, we go in love. When we make disciples, we make them in love. When we baptize, we baptize in love. When we teach, we teach in love. When we obey, we obey in love. When we remember, we remember in love.
And when we do, You are with us always, even to the end of the age -- abiding in us as we abide in You, by Your very Spirit abiding within us:
“By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father has sent His Son as the Savior of the world. God abides in those who confess that Jesus is the Son of God, and they abide in God. So we have known and believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them” (1 John 4:13-16).
Fill me afresh with Your Spirit of Your Love today -- in the authority of Your name and in the expression of Your nature, my God -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Send me forth to be an expression of You and Your nature in my world in Your name.
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with (us) all” (2 Corinthians 13:14 NKJV) -- in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

My friend, may you be filled afresh with the Holy Spirit of God's love, as you go in the authority and nature His name, in Jesus' name. Please pray the same for me. God bless you, my friend!
