Morning by Morning, April 25 - Our God is a Singing Warrior!
Good morning, Lord Jesus. Put Your thoughts in my mind, Your desires in my heart, and Your words in my mouth, as I watch and wait for Your leading, my Lord -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit of God. ...
As I listen, I sense Your Spirit singing over me and stirring up my spirit within me singing back to You.
“The Lord, your God, is in your midst,
a Warrior who gives victory;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will renew you in His love;
He will exult over you with loud singing!” (Zephaniah 3:17)
Among all that You are, You are a Singing Warrior! You sing songs of victory, songs of deliverance, songs of the fullness our salvation and the depths of our inheritance as sons and daughters of our God through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
And as You sing over us, our spirit begins to sing with Your Spirit. You bring us into tune with Your Spirit and into alignment with Your Heart. The deep within us, the depths of our innermost being hears Your Voice and begins to sing Your Song.
As we sing, You lift us up out of sadness and into Your gladness, out of despair and into Your hope, out of our doubts and into Your faith. You renew us in Your love and fill us with Your Spirit to arise and shine, to rejoice and sing.
You are our Singing Warrior who gives victory to overcome all that we’ll encounter each day. You take our emptiness and pour into us Your fullness. You take our regrets and give us expectant faith of what is yet to come. You take all our self-imposed limits and You release to us Your limitless power and love to live in us and through us, as You sing over us and cause a new song to rise up within us!
“Sing, O barren one who did not bear;
burst into song and shout,
you who have not been in labor!
For the children of the desolate woman will be more
than the children of her that is married, says the Lord.
Enlarge the site of your tent,
and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out;
do not hold back; lengthen your cords
and strengthen your stakes.
For you will spread out to the right and to the left,
and your descendants will possess the nations
and will settle the desolate towns!” (Isaiah 54:1-3)
“For the mountains may depart
and the hills be removed,
but My steadfast love shall not depart from you,
and My covenant of peace shall not be removed,
says the Lord, who has compassion on you! (Isaiah 54:10)
“No weapon that is fashioned against you shall prosper,
and you shall confute every tongue that rises against you in judgment.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord
and their vindication from Me, says the Lord!” (Isaiah 54:17).
O Mighty Warrior, O Singing Warrior, You’ve defeated every weapon, You’ve silenced every tongue against me, as You vindicate me by Your victory, as sing over me in Your love, and as You establish me in Your peace. This is my heritage as a servant of the Lord, as a child of God. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
