Morning by Morning, October 12, 2026 — “Look and See How You Need Me”

Morning by Morning, October 12, 2026 — “Look and See How You Need Me” Good morning, Lord Jesus. Let Your light shine in my heart and through my life. … As I wait for Your leading, ready to listen and journal my prayer with You in these first moments of my morning, I hear in my heart: “Look and see how you need Me.” … Yes, Lord. Looking around, seeking to perceive the times, it can look bad. Trouble everywhere. Struggles everywhere. Heartbreaks and heartaches. Addictions and self-destruction. Hopelessness and fear, anxiety and stress, worry and weariness. Wars and rumors of wars. Reading the news doesn’t stir up my faith. In preparation for elections, the mood of the nation seems to be pushing back against biblical values and righteous decisions. If “righteousness exalts a nation,” it’s also true that “sin is a reproach to any people” (Proverbs 14:34). And I’m concerned our nation, our state, the heart of our people across our land may not be exalting our nation by calling on Your name and embracing Your ways. Yes, as I look and see, it makes me realize even more deeply than ever how much we need You, how much I need You. As You said long ago, You still speak today: “Apart from Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). All that’s not built on You, grounded in Your Word and moved by Your Spirit will not last. It will not stand the test of time or the testings of these times: “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire” (1 Corinthians 3:11-15). The days of testing, the days of fire, the days when all “will be revealed by fire” may be closer than we think. Lord, send Your Fire in our hearts now. Burn out the wood and hay and straw now. Convict us of sin that leads to repentance that leads to mercy. Confirm Your Word by Your Spirit in our hearts that we may arise and stand firm in the faith, unwavering in the winds of our times but steadfast in our prayers and our actions, in our words and our attitudes, in our choices and our votes for righteousness. Not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because You’ve established what’s right in our hearts. That’s how “righteousness exalts a nation”—because the Righteous One lives and moves and has His Being in us (Colossians 1:27; Acts 17:28). That’s the revelation that turns us to look and see just how desperately we need You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged this day. In the Love of Jesus, Tommy Hays My friend, may you look and see how much we need the Lord, the Righteous One living in us and moving through us in our hearts and our world, in Jesus' name. Morning by Morning, October 9, 2026 — Rumblings of Revival

Morning by Morning, October 9, 2026 — Rumblings of Revival Good morning, Lord Jesus. Put Your thoughts in my mind, Your desires in my heart, Your words in my mouth, as I seek to be more like You today—as best as I can, but all by Your grace (1 John 4:17). … As I wait for Your leading, I hear in my heart: “Rumblings of revival. Yes, the rumblings are the moving of My Spirit. And My Spirit moves sovereignly. But My Spirit also moves in the hearts and prayers of My people who are called by My name. Let Me hear the rumblings of your hearts and you will hear the rumblings of Heaven.” … Yes, Lord! Stir in our hearts. Move us in prayer as You move in the heavens and in our hearts and throughout the earth. Awaken us. Revive us. Arise and shine through us. You are the Revival. And You are here in our hearts. Let us carry Your Revival wherever we are, wherever You send us. Whether in our neighborhoods or to the nations, where we work or go to school or go to shop, on our knees in prayer or on our feet in obedience to go and do, to go and be whatever You desire. Prayer. Obedience. Being Your salt and light in our world. Arising and shining with the Light of Your Glory in our hearts. These are the rumblings of revival! “Oh, that You would rend the heavens! That You would come down! That the mountains might shake at Your presence— As fire burns brushwood, As fire causes water to boil— To make Your name known to Your adversaries, That the nations may tremble at Your presence! When You did awesome things for which we did not look, You came down, The mountains shook at Your presence. For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him. You meet him who rejoices and does righteousness, Who remembers You in Your ways….” (Isaiah 64:1-5). Oh, rend the heavens and rend our hearts! Come down from Heaven and rise up in our hearts—all at the same time to display Your glory in our world. Oh, that “the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea!” (Habakkuk 2:14). In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged this day. In the Love of Jesus, Tommy Hays Tommy, may you be stirred in your heart with rumblings of revival, as the One who is The Revival stirs and moves in you and through you everywhere He sends you, in Jesus' name. Morning by Morning, October 8, 2026 — “Gird Up Your Loins” and “Get Ready!”

Morning By Morning Daily Prayer Journey with Tommy Hays Click Here to Listen Podcast Audio by Tommy Hays Click the Link Above to Listen. Morning by Morning, October 8, 2026 — “Gird Up Your Loins” and “Get Ready!” Good morning, Lord Jesus. I welcome You here in my heart and every moment of my day. … “In a little while the heavens grew black with clouds and wind; there was a heavy rain. Ahab rode off and went to Jezreel. But the hand of the Lord was on Elijah; he girded up his loins and ran in front of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel” (1 Kings 18:45-46). Elijah “girded up his loins” and “ran.” I hear in my heart that these are days Your Spirit is calling us to gird up our loins: “Gird up your loins, sons and daughters of God! Get ready! Ready to run with the vision I’m putting in your hearts. Ready to run with My Word in the power of My Spirit!” … Yes, Lord. In the days of Elijah, men had to gather up their robes and tuck them into their belts to be ready to run, instead of idly sitting back. Let us gather up and put away everything in our hearts, everything in our lives that would slow us down or trip us up. Let us “run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus” (Hebrews 12:1-2). In “the spirit and power of Elijah,” You are awakening Your people to carry Your Word and Your Spirit into the lives of those around us, sharing the hope that is within us to turn hearts to You (Luke 1:17). In the Spirit of Elijah, we will “mount up with wings like eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31). “Awake, sleeper, Rise from the dead, And Christ will shine on you!” (Ephesians 5:14) Come, Holy Spirit! You’re awakening us. You’re calling us to gird up our loins and get ready to run! These are exciting days ahead, as we move in the spirit and power of Elijah You are pouring out upon Your people in preparation for the great “day of the Lord” to come (Malachi 4:5-6). People, get ready! Make way for the King! In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged this day. In the Love of Jesus, Tommy Hays My friend, may you get ready in your heart and gird up your loins in your spirit to be part of the Elijah Awakening the Holy Spirit is releasing in the hearts of the sons and daughters of God in for these exciting days, in Jesus' name. God bless you, my friend! And you have a great day!
