"Honor the Lord" 7-5-08

Good morning, Lord Jesus. It's all about You. ... "Honor the Lord with your substance and with the first fruits of your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine" (Proverbs 3:9-10). I honor You, my Lord and my God -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit -- with all that I am and all that I have. The substance of my being belongs to You. I am Yours and You are mine (Song of Solomon 2:16). "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever" (Psalm 73:26). Yet as I give myself to You, You give of Yourself even more to me. You fill me with plenty until I'm bursting with the peace and joy of Your Spirit. But even so, even though You lavish me and overwhelm me with Your peace and Your joy, it's not Your peace that I honor nor Your joy that I honor. I honor You alone. I thank You for all You do, but I honor You for who You are -- my Lord and my God, my Father and Friend, Savior and King, my All in All. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen. Be encouraged today!
