"We Wish to See Jesus" 12-19-08

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Before looking to anyone else, I look to You. Before listening for anyone else, I listen for You. Let me see You and hear You. Let me be moved and led by Your Spirit to let You live through me so that others may be moved and led to You today. … "Now among those who went up to worship at the festival were some Greeks. They came to Phillip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and said to him, 'Sir, we wish to see Jesus.' Phillip went and told Andrew; then Andrew and Philip went and told Jesus. Jesus answered the, 'The time has come for the Son of Man to be glorified' " (John 12:20-23). This time of year, there are many festivals. We call them "Christmas parties." Or at least we used to; now we call them 'Holiday parties' because we're so often afraid to say the name of Jesus or Christ in public. But this is a time of year for the Son of Man to be glorified. This is a time of year when we should wish to see Jesus. And Lord, what glorifies You most is when we stop and look to see Jesus long enough so that others can look to see Jesus living in us. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen. Be encouraged today!
