"Renown by the Wonderful Deeds of God" 12-6-08

Good morning, Lord Jesus. You are alive and active in every area and every day of my life. … "Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation…. He has gained renown by His wonderful deeds; the Lord is gracious and merciful" (Psalm 111:1-4). "Thanks be to Jesus!" were the first words I heard A.J. say last night, without slurred speech, after we prayed for him. "I feel really calm and warm inside; my hands aren't trembling anymore" was his answer when I asked him if he could sense the Lord doing anything in his body. "I want to stand up and walk around" is what he said when I asked him if he wanted to try to something he couldn't do very well before we prayed. With big, growing smile he walked around quickly and confidently with his cane on the floor and his arms in the air. He had told us he had Parkinson's Disease. But he also told us he believed in the power of God to heal. You are gracious and merciful. You are still gaining renown by Your wonderful deeds. Though all will not be healed and free on this side of heaven until You come again in the fullness of Your kingdom on earth as it is heaven, many are. And many are in growing numbers each day as we pray for Your kingdom to come and Your will to be done. In heaven, there is no Parkinson's Disease. And heaven is coming into A.J.'s life on earth as it is in heaven in the name and for the glory of Jesus. Thank You for letting me see it and giving me faith to pray it. Give me the boldness to pray more and the joy to see more. With A.J., I give you thanks with my whole heart! In the Jesus' name I pray, Amen Be encouraged today!
