Morning by Morning, October 4 - Jesus the Good Shepherd Who Loves All and Goes After All   Good morning, Lord Jesus. I speak out Your name and listen for Your leading, as I draw near to You in my spirit to begin my day embraced by my Father, centered in Christ, and filled with Your Holy Spirit. ...   “I am the good shepherd. I know My own, and My own know Me, just as the Father knows Me, and I know the Father. And I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice. So there will be one flock, one Shepherd” (John 10:14-16).   You love those who know You and You reach out in love to those who do not yet know You. You laid down Your life for all. And Your love reaches out to all. There’s not one You do not love and do not pursue (John 3:16).   You save souls. You change lives. You heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free. You awaken hearts to hear Your voice and follow in Your steps.   You are relentless and abounding in Your love, not willing that any would perish apart from You, but that all would come to You and know You and follow You.   You are Life (John 14:6). And You want Your life to be joined together as one with our lives (John 14:20). You want us all to have life and have it abundantly, to live life and live life abundantly (John 10:10).   Good Shepherd of my soul, thank You for shepherding me -- for coming after me to bring me into Your fold. Thank You for loving me and changing me, for healing me and freeing me. And thank You for living in me and now shepherding through me, just as You desire to do with all who will listen for Your voice and follow where You lead. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
