Morning by Morning, November 11 - LifeLock on My True Identity Good morning, Lord Jesus. You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). And I begin my day declaring You are my Way, and my Truth, and my Life. ... Yesterday morning, after making my way to the airport, I found I had received an ominous and menacing email with the subject line (including the poor English grammar) that said: “ALERT! I’m hacked you PC and stolen you information!” along with some false accusations and threats and a Bitcoin wallet address to send money to in what seemed like some kind of blackmail attempt. My first thought was to call LifeLock, for identity theft protection. And while, yes, I did call the company when I got to my destination, that’s not the first LifeLock I thought of. I thought of You. You are my LifeLock. You are the One who has my life locked up in Your hands and Your will. You are my Way, my Truth, and my Life -- my LifeLock (John 14:6). You are my true identity theft protection -- #1 on the market, #1 the world, the #1 and only in my life. It's interesting that the threats came to my ministry email, which indicates to me this is ultimately a spiritual attack, though the sin and crime of a human being may be used (1 Peter 5:8). But I embrace the Promise of Your Word, “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). This may get messy. Already it has messed with my Facebook and Instagram accounts. But when things get messy, I turn to my Messiah. You can’t be an overcomer unless you’ve overcome something. You can’t have a testimony unless you’ve passed some tests. You can’t be victorious in Christ unless have been through some battles for the sake of Christ. That’s how we are “more than conquerors” -- “In all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:37). When there’s an attack against my identity, You remind me my true identity is in You. I am a child of God, a son of God, through the powerful Blood of Jesus. “For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of Gods. For (I) did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but (I) have received the Spirit of adoption as (a son), whom (I) cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit Himself bears witness with (my) spirit that (I am a child) of God, and if (a child), then (an heir) -- (an heir of God and fellow (heir) with Christ, provided (I) suffer with Him in order that (I) may also be glorified with Him” (Romans 8:14-17). That’s my true identity that is always protected and can never be stolen. My name is written and sealed in the Lamb’s Book of Life (Revelation 13:8 and 20:15). “He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and (You) will not blot out (my name) from the Book of Life, but will acknowledge (my name) before (Your) Father (and mine) and His angels (Revelation 3:5). And, by the way, in case anyone is reading this by hacking into my computer, or anyone else needing to hear the Truth and turn to God, “Whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:15). So I pray for whosoever who has not yet opened their heart and bowed their knees to the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior to be convicted of sin and led to repentance and into the mercy of God that is available to all who will humble themselves, turn from their wicked ways in repentance, and received the free Gift of the Mercy of God available to all and only available to all through the Blood of Jesus and His Sacrifice for every sinner upon the Cross. “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13). They go to Heaven instead of the Lake of Fire. They get Heaven in their heart now, as Jesus comes by His Holy Spirit to cast the hell of their heart and give them a new life as a new creation in Him. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). I thank You now, Lord, for getting me through this battle. I thank You for reminding me of my true identity and protecting my identity in You. Your Word expressing Your heart calls us to pray for those who persecute us, to bless those who curse us, and even love those who hate us (Matthew 5:44; Luke 6:28; Romans 12:14). So I do. And having done so, now I trust in You and rest in You. I’ll make my phone calls and get in touch with the proper authorities here in this earthly realm, but I thank You I’ve already made my first call into the heavenly realm to call upon the One who has all authority in heaven and earth, whose name is the name above every name, whose name is Jesus (Matthew 28:30). I’ve called 9-1-1, Psalm 91:1 with this declaration from the authority of Your Word over my life and every son and daughter of God who embraces their true identity in You: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty!” In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
