Morning by Morning, November 30 - “Trust in Me for All You Need” Good morning, Lord Jesus. I look to You -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit of God -- and wait for Your leading to begin my day embraced by my Father, centered in Christ, and filled with the Holy Spirit. ... As I listen, I hear in my heart: “Trust in Me for all you need, as you entrust to Me all you are.” ... Yes, Lord. All that I am, all that I have, all that I ever will be, all that I ever will have, I entrust to You. You are worthy of my trust. You are faithful and true. I trust You. Your Word comes to mind: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6). Sometimes the simplest Words are the most profound. Familiar Scriptures are familiar for a reason. They’re milestones and markers; they’re guiding principles and certain promises. They remind us of the simplicity of faith and the clarity of truth. So as I trust in You for all I need, I choose not to lean on my own understanding, but rest in the promises of the One who fills my heart and guards my mind with “the peace that surpasses all understanding” (Philippians 4:6). You’ll direct my path. Your Word is Lamp to my feet and Light to my path (Psalm 119:105). Though Your Word may be simple, it’s that very simplicity that brings clarity and peace, simply trusting in You alone. And trusting in You is the opposite of leaning on my own understanding, trying to make my own plans and chart out my own paths. Trusting You pleases You. And trusting You blesses me: “Blessed be the Lord, Because He has heard the voice of my supplications! The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him!” (Psalm 28:6-7). “Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noon day. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him...” (Psalm 37:5-7). Thank You for Your simple invitation to come and trust in You today, to come and renew my commitment of my path to You today. In the simple Promise of Your Word, I know “My God shall supply all (my) need according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus. Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen!” (Philippians 4:19) In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
