Morning by Morning, September 21, 2026 — “We Prophesy in Part”
Good morning, Lord Jesus. Let me hear Your voice and follow Your leading, just as You said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27). …
“For we know in part and we prophesy in part” (1 Corinthians 13:9).
Sunday morning, we finished teaching our Free to Be Like Jesus conference in the La Louvière community of the French-speaking region of Belgium. The people carried such passion with such a freedom of the Spirit! Pastor Carmelo invited the people to come forward and share prophetic words as the Holy Spirit led. And so many did. Speaking words to one another for “edification and exhortation and comfort,” just as Your Word invites us to do as Your Spirit leads (1 Corinthians 14:3).
They prophesied in part, with each one sharing their part from their heart to the heart of another or to us all. What a beautiful expression of “the body of Christ” in the freedom and love and power of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:27). “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom!” (2 Corinthians 3:17 ESV)
Thank You for setting Your people free—free to be like Jesus, free to be expressions of Your heart in our world. “Because as (You are), so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17).
We each have a part. And You set us free to share our part, to be our part. “For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ…. For in fact the body is not one member but many” (1 Corinthians 12:12-14). “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all” (v. 7).
You are building up Your church. You are growing us up into maturity, “to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” as we “grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love” (Ephesians 4:11-16).
We each have a part. And all our parts come together in You. All for Your glory as we express Your heart as Your body in our world. Lord, let Your Spirit keep setting us free to be like Jesus, more and more every day, throughout the world, “till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God” (Ephesians 4:13). This is one of the ways Your Word is being fulfilled in these exciting days of Your Spirit:
“For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, As the waters cover the sea!” (Habakkuk 2:14)
