Morning by Morning, September 15, 2026 — “Run with the Vision”
Good morning, Lord Jesus. Filled with Your Spirit, grounded in Your Word, help me step into my day from this place of prayer in communion with You—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. …
As I wait for Your leading, what I hear in my heart this morning is this: “Run with the vision.” …
And now this Scripture in confirmation:
“Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it” (Habakkuk 2:2).
Lord, help me see what You’re doing and hear what You’re saying. Looking to You, waiting on You, listening for Your leading, as I begin my days and then throughout my days. Thank You for the grace to write it down here in this journal as my “tablet.” Maybe not the parchment and pen of Habakkuk’s day. More with the keyboard of a laptop of my day. But writing Your vision from Your heart into my life, morning by morning, day by day, nonetheless.
Then I get to “run” with it by clicking “send” to my email list and “post” to my social media. But I thank You that it’s the same Holy Spirit in every generation who sends forth Your word from Your heart into the hearts of all who would hear and receive what You’re speaking into our lives. As You said long ago, You still speak today:
“But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it” (Matthew 13:16-17).
Come, Holy Spirit. Give us eyes to see and ears to hear what Your Spirit is saying to us now in our generation. Awaken us. Empower us. That we can be all You’ve created us to be and live into all You’ve called us to, as Your Church, Your people, in our times. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches” (Revelation 3:22).
I’m so thankful to get my new book published a few days ago. The Elijah Awakening: Hearing His Heart — Making Way for the King. I believe You put that message in my heart to write the vision and now run with it. Just like Your Spirit was upon John the Baptist to prepare the way of the Lord in the spirit and power of Elijah before Your first coming, so You have poured Your Spirit upon Your Church to prepare the way of the Lord for Your second coming (Luke 1:17; Matthew 11:13; 17:10-13). “Whoever has ears, let him hear” (Matthew 11:15).
In the morning, my wife Rocio and I will “run with the vision” overseas to two nations of Europe where people are hungry for Your words of spirit and life. May it be Your words they hear and receive, as You prepare the way of the Lord in their hearts and ours and in our world in our generation. Many have longed to see these days. But we are blessed to be alive in these days of fulfillment of Your Word by Your Spirit in our world.
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you” (Isaiah 60:1-2).
Lord, thank You for the grace to run with Your vision. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
