Morning by Morning, May 13 - Setting the Tone of Trusting in Christ Good morning, Lord Jesus. King of my heart, Lord of my life, rule and reign in me today. ... “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect” (1 Peter 3:15 NIV). You are Lord; and I am not. You have all authority in heaven and earth and in my heart (Matthew 28:18). So help me trust Your authority and surrender to Your Lordship--now as You set the tone for my day and then throughout the moments of my day. And the tone You are setting is to choose to trust in You, as I revere You and honor You and entrust my heart to You. And from this place, I can share this hope that I have in You--with gentleness and respect, with confidence and peace, with an expectant heart that You are with me to overcome whatever I’ll go through. For You are Lord of my heart and You are “Lord of all” (Acts 10:36). In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
