Morning by Morning, June 12 - Pentecost Outpouring “With One Accord in One Place” Good morning, Lord Jesus. Be at the center of my heart and in the middle of every moment of my day. ... On the Biblical calendar, today is the day of Pentecost--fifty days after Passover. And You’re bringing to mind that day of Pentecost when Your Holy Spirit was poured out upon Your people of Your church, after the days You were crucified, dead, buried, raised from the dead, and ascended to Heaven: “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:1-4). Bring us into “one accord” again! Bring us into “one place” again! “One accord” with Your will, “one place” of hungering and thirsting for the Presence and the power of Your Holy Spirit! “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled!” (Matthew 5:6) Set us ablaze again with Your holy Fire! Sanctify our tongues again to speak Your words of spirit and truth and life in all that we say and pray and proclaim by Your Spirit! Send Your “mighty rushing wind” again in our hearts to blow out the chaff and debris from our souls and fill us again with the Life and Breath of the Living God! May we all be “filled with the Holy Spirit!” and overflowing with Your words and Your power to turn our world upside down again (Acts 17:6). Do it again, Lord! Come, Holy Spirit in Your power and Your Presence. May every hungry heart experience a fresh encounter of personal Pentecost, as You unite us together in “one accord” in a fresh Pentecostal outpouring in the “one place” of the heart of Your people of Your church around the world ‘til “the knowledge of the glory of the Lord covers the earth as the waters cover the sea!” (Habakkuk 2:14) In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
