Morning by Morning, August 28, 2026 – “The Waters of My Spirit Are Rising”
Good morning, Lord Jesus. Seeking Your face, listening for Your voice, following Your lead, I begin my day focused on You and surrendered to You (John 10:27). …
“I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me…” (Habakkuk 2:1).
As I’m watching in prayer, what I see with the eyes of my heart is like a great ocean swell gathering strength, rising up, just before it crests and breaks to push into the shore with irresistible power.
As I ponder what I see, what comes to my heart is this:
“The waters of My Spirit are rising. A great move of My Spirit is about to crest and break and move with My surpassing power—My power to save, My power to heal, My power to awaken My people who are called by My name to display My glory in their hearts and in their world.” …
Yes, Lord. Now Your Word comes to mind about “the exceeding greatness of (Your) power”:
“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come” (Ephesians 1:17-21).
Oh, there’s a wave coming! A wave of Your Spirit! Mighty in power, mighty to save, mighty to move in this great awakening that’s about to break upon the shores of our hearts and our world!
Come, Holy Spirit! Let Your Living Waters rise up in me and in all who are called by Your name today. Build up in us what You want to break forth through us into our world! In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
