Morning by Morning, May 6 - The Voice of Babylon Trying to Shout Down the Voice of the Bride
Good morning, Lord Jesus. Be at the center of my heart and every moment of my day -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit of God. ...
There’s an outcry in our land the past few days against the return to righteousness. The voice of the world is trying to shout down the voice of faith. The voice of Babylon is raging against the voice of the Bride. But I join my heart and my voice and my prayers with those who believe there is yet one more revival for this land, one more great awakening for one more great harvest -- for “the harvest is the end of the age” (Matthew 13:39).
At the great harvest at the end of the age, the voice of the world will be the loudest and its spirit of Babylon will be the strongest, for the evil of this world and the flesh and the devil will have grown into full maturity. But so will the people of God with the heart of the Lord in the Spirit of the Bride, just as You expressed in Your Word through Your parable of the weeds and the wheat growing up together to full maturity:
“(Jesus) put before them another parable: ‘The kingdom of heaven may be compared to someone who sowed good seed in his field, but while everybody was asleep an enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and then went away. So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared as well. And the slaves of the householder came and said to him, ‘Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? Where, then, did these weeds come from?’ He answered, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The slaves said to him, ‘Then do you want us to go and gather them?’ But he replied, ‘No, for in gathering the weeds you would uproot the wheat along with them. Let both of them grow together until the harvest, and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, Collect the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn’” (Matthew 13:24-30).
Then You explained the parable and applied it to the times of the end, to the time of the great harvest in the earth to come:
“Then (Jesus) left the crowds and went into the house. And His disciples approached Him, saying, ‘Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field.’ He answered, ‘The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man; the field is the world, and the good seed are the children of the kingdom; the weeds are the children of the evil one, and the enemy who sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. Just as the weeds are collected and burned up with fire, so will it be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send His angels, and they will collect out of His kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers, and they will throw them into the furnace of fire, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Let anyone with ears listen!’” (Matthew 13:36-43).
Those who believe these Words may be seen as extreme in the eyes of the world. They may be seen as foolish, prudish, old-fashioned, ignorant of the progressive and woken ways of a world that thinks it knows better than God. The spirit of Babylon hates the Spirit of the Bride; the spirit of antichrist hates the Spirit of Christ. “In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing clearly the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (2 Corinthians 4:4).
But there is a great harvest coming! And many will be set free from the blindness of their eyes and the hardness of their hearts. “Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord!” (Psalm 40:3)
Prepare us now to be Your laborers in the great harvest to come. As You said long ago, You’re reminding us today, speaking firmly to Your Bride, to Your people who are called by Your name and filled with Your Spirit today:
“Then (Jesus) said to His disciples, ‘The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest!” (Matthew 9:37-38)
Yes, Lord. Send Your Spirit! Send Your angels! Send Your sons and Your daughters out into Your harvest! In the midst of the darkness, where all the seeds of both good and evil have nearly grown to full maturity, may we be prepared and passionate to “shine like the sun in the kingdom of (our) Father!” (Matthew 13:43)
At the end of the age, at time of the great harvest, the Spirit of the Bride will see the spirit of Babylon destroyed and the Spirit of Christ will overcome the spirit of antichrist, as every prophetic Promise of Your Word is fulfilled:
“I will punish Bel in Babylon and make him disgorge what he has swallowed. The nations shall no longer stream to him; the wall of Babylon has fallen” (Jeremiah 51:44).
“Fallen, fallen is Babylon, and all the images of her gods lie shattered on the ground” (Isaiah 21:9).
“Then another angel, a second, followed, saying, ‘Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her prostitution’” (Revelation 14:8).
And one day soon this Word will be fulfilled:
“The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” (Revelation 11:15 NKJV)
Every day between this day and that day to come, let us be found faithful, prepared and passionate to do our part, to stand our ground, to pray our prayers, to speak up and shout out as the voice of the Bride in the face of the intimidation, manipulation, and control of the voice of Babylon in our day.
“The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come!’” (Revelation 22:17)
“The One who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I AM coming soon!’” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all the saints, Amen” (Revelation 22:20).
