Morning by Morning, March 27, 2026 — Jesus Was Determined to Fulfill His Destiny Good morning, Lord Jesus. Put Your thoughts in my mind and Your desires in my heart, as I seek to intentionally, deliberately begin my day in communion with You—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit of God. ... Next week will be Holy Week, when Christians around the world will remember the days of Your journey to the Cross. Your journey to Your physical death is now our journey to everlasting life (John 3:16). And this morning, I’m reminded of Your determination to fulfill Your destiny: “Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem” (Luke 9:51). You were fulfilling one of the many Messianic prophecies declared beforehand of all You would live out on the days of Your journey through Your rejection, betrayal, beating, crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection: “I gave My back to those who struck Me, And My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard; I did not hide My face from shame and spitting. For the Lord God will help Me; Therefore I will not be disgraced; Therefore I have set My face like a flint, And I know that I will not be ashamed” (Isaiah 50:6-7). No one took Your life. You willingly chose to lay down Your life—for me and for all who entrust themselves to You in thanksgiving for all You’ve done for us. As You declared in Your determination to do this for us, with Your face set like flint, steadfast in Your desire to journey to Jerusalem, knowing all that waited for You there: “As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.... “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father” (John 10:15-18). Thank You, Lord Jesus, for Your steadfast love, for Your determination, for Your sacrifice that cost You more than we can even imagine. As I prepare my heart to follow Your journey through that Holy Week, may I take time to contemplate and appreciate all You’ve done and all You are: “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2). In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today! Morning by Morning, March 26, 2026 — “Everlasting Covenant” Good morning, Lord Jesus. Be at the center of my heart and in the middle of every moment of my day. ... Last night, I heard a presentation speaking of Your “everlasting covenant” with Abraham and all his following generations, declared from Your heart in in Your Word: “When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, ‘I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.’ Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying: ‘As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations. No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations.  I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you. And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God’” (Genesis 17:1-8). Your covenant with Your people is everlasting, never ending, unbreakable. Your word will never fail, never fall short, never return to You void without accomplishing all You have said and fulfilling every purpose You have determined (Isaiah 55:11). You’ll always be faithful to watch over Your word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). For “God is not a man, that he should lie” (Numbers 23:19). And Your word cannot be broken (John 10:35). Ultimately, Your “everlasting covenant” is fulfilled and sealed through the eternal sacrifice of the blood of Jesus: “Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen” (Hebrews 13:20-21). Just as You spoke and sealed Your everlasting covenant to Abraham and his descendants forever, so You speak and seal Your everlasting covenant with all who put their hope and faith in You alone through Jesus Christ our Lord: “In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. “In Him (we) also trusted, after (we) heard the word of truth, the gospel of (our) salvation; in whom also, having believed, (we) were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory” (Ephesians 1:11-14). “For all the promises of God in (Jesus Christ) are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee” (2 Corinthians 1:20-22). “Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God” (Psalm 90:2). And Your “everlasting covenant” sealed by the blood of Jesus in our hearts for all eternity will never fail. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today! Morning by Morning, March 25, 2026 — “Possess the Land” Good morning, Lord Jesus. I set my mind on You, to begin my day embraced by my Father, centered in Christ, and filled with Your Holy Spirit (Colossians 3:2). ... As I wait in the silence and listen for Your leading, what I hear in my heart is this: “Possess the land I have entrusted to you.” ... What “land,” Lord? ... “Your land is your sphere of influence. Where you set the soles of your feet, where you speak the words of My heart, where you carry the light of My truth and express the heart of My love, where you take your stand against evil, where you stretch out your hand to the needy, where you are My expression of My Presence flowing through you by My Spirit.” ... Yes, Lord. This Word comes to mind: “After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying: ‘Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.’ ... Have I not commended you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go’” (Joshua 1:1-9). Give me strength and courage, wisdom and sensitivity to the leading of Your Spirit, as I possess the “land” You’ve entrusted to me today. May I be a carrier of Your light and truth and love in every sphere of influence You’re entrusting to me (Matthew 5:14). May I represent You well as one of Your “ambassadors for Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:20). In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today! Morning by Morning, March 24, 2026 — Christ is Life

 

Morning by Morning, March 24, 2026 — Christ is Life Good morning, Lord Jesus. King of Kings and Lord of Lords, come rule and reign in my heart and life (Revelation 19:16). ... “When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory” (Colossians 3:4). You are my life. ... Lord Jesus, help me understand more of what this means. ... Here’s what comes to my heart and rises up to mind: “I am the way and the truth and the life. To the degree you embrace Me as your way, as your truth, as your life, I am your life. Abide in Me and allow Me to abide in you. Live in Me and allow Me to live in you.” ... Yes, Lord. These Scriptures come to mind from Your written Word in confirmation of what I believe I’m hearing as Your spoken word, in the way You say, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27): “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.... If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love” (John 15:4-5, 7-10). By the power of Your grace, in Your mercy and love, keep transforming me, keep renewing my mind, keep making me more like You with Your way, Your truth, and Your life being formed in me (Romans 12:1-2). Keep conforming me into the image of the Son of God (Romans 8:29). Keep making me more like You every day, “because as (You are), so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17). Christ is life. Christ is my life. Thank You for the grace You give me to embrace this truth and live into it throughout the moments of my days. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today!
