Unveiled and Embraced - January 11, 2024

 

Morning by Morning, January 11 - Unveiled and Embraced   Good morning, Lord Jesus. Let Your Spirit burn in my spirit, as I draw near to You and You draw near to me (James 4:8). ...   “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:18).   Unveil my face as I behold You, Lord -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit of God. Unveil my heart as I draw near to you in worship and prayer, in surrender and trust. Reveal and remove every barrier and blockage that would hinder me from seeing You as You are and seeing myself as You see me.   Transform me, change me, make me more like You as I seek You, embrace You, and behold You. As Your Word invites me, “Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always” (1 Chronicles 16:11). “Now devote your heart and soul to seeking the Lord your God” (1 Chronicles 22:19).   In seeking, there is finding. In finding, there is beholding. In beholding, there is embracing. In embracing, there is love. There is love because You first loved me (1 John 4:19). And in Your love for me, You are changing me from the inside out “into (Your) image from glory to glory.”   It’s not by my might or my power, not by my goodness or worthiness, but by Your Spirit (Zechariah 4:6) -- “just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” I can’t earn it or deserve it. But it’s available to me every time I pursue You and allow You to make me more like You -- morning by morning, moment by moment, “from glory to glory.”   As Your Word promises of the destination of my spiritual journey pursuing You:   “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure” (1 John 3:1-3).   Purify me. Change me. Make me more like You, more and more every day, Lord -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit of God. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today. Personal Revival Today by the Presence and Power of God in Us - January 10, 2024

 

Morning by Morning, January 10 - Personal Revival Today by the Presence and Power of God in Us   Good morning, Lord Jesus. Fill me with Your Spirit and lead me into all You have for me today (Ephesians 5:18). ...   You’re not only my Savior, You’re also my Model. As You walked this earth for those thirty-three years as the Son of Man, in the likeness of human flesh and blood, You showed us how to live life grounded in the Word of God, filled with the Spirit of God, completely trusting our Father God (Philippians 2:5-8; Luke 22:42).   As You are, so are we to be in our world (1 John 4:17), being conformed into Your image (Romans 8:29), looking to You as You keep changing us into Your nature, growing into Your character, “from glory to glory” (2 Corinthians 3:18). What You did, we will do by Your Spirit moving through us (John 14:12). Who You are, we will become like You by Your Spirit working in us (1 John 3:2).   That’s revival! That’s a deeply personal revival that sets us ablaze with the Fire and Power of God! (Acts 1:8) That’s what changes us and changes the world around us! “Christ in (us), the hope of glory” -- the glory of the manifest Presence of God abiding in us, thriving through us, abounding in a hope that can’t be contained within us! (Colossians 1:27)   “Now may the God of hope fill (us) with all joy and peace in believing, that (we) may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13). Set us ablaze with a fresh baptism of the Holy Fire of Your Holy Spirit, for glory of our Heavenly Father, as You send us forth in Your will today! (Matthew 3:11; Acts 1:5).   Let today’s revival begin in me and every one of Your disciples who are passionately pursuing Your Presence! Through us, may “the earth be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea!” (Habakkuk 2:14) It can’t be contained and can’t be controlled because You and Your Spirit in us can’t be contained and can’t be controlled -- only rising up and overflowing through us as we’re abiding in You! (John 15:4) In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today. Realignment of Repentance - January 9, 2024

 

Morning by Morning, January 9 - Realignment of Repentance   Good morning, Lord Jesus. I speak out Your name and listen for Your leading, for Your sheep hear Your voice and follow You (John 10:27). ...   “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10 ESV).   There’s a realignment that comes through repentance. As I turn to You and turn away from all that’s less than You and Your will and Your ways in my life, You realign me and renew me and set me right with You again.   You forgive me of my sins (1 John 1:9). You purify my soul of every defilement (2 Corinthians 7:1). You fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). And You even restore unto me the joy of Your salvation (Psalm 51:12).   Thank you for the gift and the joy of this means of Your grace, this expression of Your goodness, this desire of Your heart to realign my life with Yours through Your invitation to repentance. It’s not a one-time offer. It’s not take it or leave it. It’s every moment of every day -- morning by morning and step by step -- at the heart of Your call and the call of Your heart to “Come, follow Me” (Matthew 4:19).   So here I come, here’s my heart, Lord Jesus. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today. Morning by Morning, January 8 - Hungering and Thirsting for the Presence, Word, and Spirit of God   Good morning, Lord Jesus. My eyes are on You, as I seek to begin my day embraced by my Father, centered in Christ, and filled with Your Spirit. ...   “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6)   Now and in these coming days, I’m setting apart time to seek You, to pursue You, to hunger and thirst for You. Give me a deeper hunger still, a deeper thirst still. As the deer pants for the waters, so my soul longs for You (Psalm 42:1). More of You, less of me; You increase, as I decrease (John 3:30).   According to the Promise of Your Word, as I hunger You fill, as I thirst You satisfy. Replace my appetites for all other things with a stronger, even insatiable appetite for You and Your Presence, for You and Your Word, for You and Your Spirit.   I’m excited for the spiritual journey You’ve set before me. I’m expectant for an awakening and revival of my soul all along the way as I hunger and thirst for You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today. Kept in “Perfect Peace” - January 5, 2024

 

Morning by Morning, January 5 - Kept in “Perfect Peace”   Good morning, Lord Jesus. Ground me in Your Word and fill me with Your Spirit, as I begin my day immersed in Your Presence. ...   “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You” (Isaiah 26:3 NLT).   You fix me, as I keep my thoughts fixed on You.  You keep me in “perfect peace” as I keep looking to the Perfect One (Matthew 5:48).   You give me peace, as I cast all anxiety onto You, for You care for me (1 Peter 5:7). You heal me and free me from what would trouble me, as I trust in You, not leaning on my own understanding, but looking to You, listening for You, following You (Proverbs 3:5-6).   You keep me in “perfect peace” as I rest in the peace of the One is the “Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6). “Then (I) will experience (Your) peace, which exceeds anything (I) can understand. (Your) peace will guard (my) heart and mind as (I) live in (You)” (Philippians 4:7 NLT).   My eyes are on You now -- pursuing Your Presence, grounded in Your Word, filled with Your Spirit. And now as I rise from my place of prayer and go about my day, I embrace Your grace to keep my eyes fixed on You all day long through all that would seek to take this peace away. For it’s not really my peace or the peace of my circumstances or even the peace of my good attitude, but Your peace within me that You have graciously given me, the peace of Your Presence abiding within me (John 15:4), the Peace of “Christ in (me), the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today.
