Every Moment Matters 4-18-05

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Focus my thoughts and lead my heart as You order my steps today. ... "Do not let your moments be wasted. Time is one of My greatest gifts, and every moment matters." Yes, Lord. Our lives can be changed in the blinking of an eye; our time on earth can be over even more suddenly. Give us wisdom to use our time well and to value every moment as a gift You have given us to give away to others. When we love one another, we are loving You. When we receive love from on another, we are receiving Your love. You are Love and You express Your love through us to one another (1 John 4.8). Our lives have significance to the extent we offer our lives in love. Everything else is a distraction from our purpose and our calling. Everything else is a waste of our time. "For all must appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each may receive recompense for what has been done in the body, whether good or evil" (2 Corinthians 5.10). Love will be the standard by which You judge. Give us grace to live well and to love well, so that we will be judged well on that day. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen. Be encouraged this day!
