“We Have the Mind of Christ” - September 8, 2021

 

Morning by Morning, September 8 - “We Have the Mind of Christ” Good morning, Lord Jesus. You’re with me always -- here in these first moments of my morning, then in every moment of my day and every day of my life (Matthew 28:20). ... “We have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16). Just as we received salvation by the power of Your grace through our faith in You, so we receive the mind of Christ by the power of Your grace through our faith in You. And Your Word helps us embrace this Truth of Your grace: “So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of His grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all He has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus. God saved (us) by His grace when (we) believed. And (we) can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago” (Ephesians 2:7-10 NLT). By Your grace, I have Your mind, “created anew in Christ Jesus.” So give me grace today to live into all I have already received from You. Let my thoughts align with Your thoughts, my desires align with Your desires, my words align with Your words, my actions align with Your actions. Keep transforming me by the renewing of my mind, as my mind grows in the understanding of all You’ve done in me and all You desire to do through me (Romans 12:2). That’s how, by the power of Your grace at work within us, “we can do the good things (You) planned for us long ago.” And that’s how “He who began a good work in (us)” will be faithful to complete it (Philippians 1:6). That’s how You reveal Your “masterpiece” through our lives. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today!
