“Ascend” - September 4, 2023

 

Morning by Morning, September 4 - “Ascend”   Good morning, Lord Jesus. Your name be lifted up -- here in my heart and every moment of my day. ...   “Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the Lord, And righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face. Selah” (Psalm 24:3-6)   Let my spirit ascend into Your Presence this morning, as I seek Your face -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit of God. Cleanse my hands from sin. Purify my heart from wrong desires and selfish motives. Pull down the idols and everything that would exalt itself or that I would exalt in place You as First Place in my heart and my life. Sanctify the words I speak and even the prayers I pray, that my spirit would align with Your Spirit and my ways would be submitted to Your ways, O God of Jacob, the God of my salvation.   Let this not be just a one-time prayer, but an every-moment-of-every-day prayer. Let this not be just a causal-thought or religiously-fulfilled prayer, but a You-are-the-air-I-breathe and I’m-desperate-for-You prayer. Then grant me the grace to go about my day with You putting Your thoughts in my mind, Your desires in my heart, Your words in my mouth, and Your power in my actions, releasing Your will in and through my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Be encouraged today. I was so honored and thrilled to be able to share a message of encouragement and hope this morning through our Internet Ministry at Abundant Life Ministries of Pakistan church in Lahore, Pakistan, led by our ministry partner there, Pastor Rizwan Fazal and his wife Mehwish Rizwan. Pastor Rizwan sent a couple of testimonies of healing right away: “Thank the Lord for over 100 healings! Mr. Waris is healed from right leg as he wasn’t able to walk clear due to last 4 months accident but he went back home with both straight legs with no more pain! Sister Martha wasn’t able to hear from last 8 months and water was coming out from her ear but after your prayers she feels fully healed!” We praise God for all He is doing. Healing from fear, trauma, and anguish for all our brothers and sisters in Pakistan have being going through in the horrific wave of persecution. They are such a testimony persevering faith in the midst of the tribulation they are going through! Please join us in standing with them and keeping all of them in prayer. September 5 Pakistan Ministry Evangelistic Outreach. Preaching an Evangelistic Crusade through our Internet Ministry in an unreached village in the Punjab Region of Pakistan with our international ministry partners there, Pastors Rizwan and Mehwish Fazal. We set up a big screen and I preach and minister through Skype, with an interpreter in real time, followed by ministry and follow up discipleship from Pastor Fazal and our on-site team.
