Morning by Morning, February 17, 2025 - “Taught by the Lord”   Good morning, Lord Jesus. I lift up my spirit to embrace Your Spirit in the communion of prayer to begin my day embraced by my Father, centered in Christ, and filled with the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14). ...   “All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children” (Isaiah 54:13).   By the grace of God and through the help of some generous donors, our ministry inaugurated a small school in a village of Pakistan this Monday morning. One hundred young students came from the village and from three different brick kiln compounds where their parents are held in bonded slavery, trapped in a generational cycle of poverty and servitude to pay off debts they’ll never be able to pay, apart from the mercy and grace of God.   But now these children will receive an education. They will receive an opportunity for a better life than their parents and past generations. And they will receive an opportunity to not only receive the foundational teachings of reading, writing, and arithmetic, but they will also receive an opportunity to “be taught by the Lord.” “And great shall be the peace of (these) children,” extending to their families and their villages and their generations.   In our own nation, let us not take our blessings and privileges for granted, that our children may be educated, that they may have an opportunity for a better life. And may we do our part as parents and spiritual parents to see that they “be taught by the Lord” that they may have the great “peace” of the Lord in their hearts and in their lives, to passed on to their children, and their children, and their children, through their generations.
