Morning by Morning, February 20, 2025 - See The Deliverance of The Lord Good morning, Lord Jesus. Lead me by Your Spirit into a deep place of Your peace, as I watch and wait for Your leading to begin my day abiding in You and grounded in Your Word (John 15:4). ... “Moses said to the people, ‘Do not be afraid, stand firm, and see the deliverance that the Lord will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you see today you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to keep still’” (Exodus 14:13-14). You are the God who makes a way when it seems there is no way. You are the God of breakthrough and the God who overcomes our brokenness. Sometimes You breakthrough the barriers that block us from Your blessings, astounding us with Your power. Sometimes You redeem and work together for good our brokenness and disappointment, not wasting a moment of our suffering in Your plan for our transformation. “Ah Lord God! It is You who made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for You” (Jeremiah 32:17). “Abba, Father, all things are possible for You” (Mark 14:36). Whether it's a miracle of breakthrough or a transformation through our brokenness, You are God. And we can trust You to accomplish Your deliverance from whatever would capture us or consume us, decimate us or destroy us. Your instructions to Your people through Moses were clear. And Your instructions to us are clear: “Do not be afraid.” Give no place to fear or any of the worry, anxiety, doubt, or unbelief the spirit of fear tempts us to embrace. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). “Stand firm.” Open your hearts for the faith of God to fill your heart with courage, trusting in His Spirit, not your own power, might, strength, or wisdom. “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty” (Zechariah 4:6). “See the deliverance of the Lord.” Look with the eyes of your heart opened to see the hand of God at work in all things, especially the things that are out of your control and contrary to His perfect will. Praise Him for what He is doing instead of complaining to Him about what it seems He’s not doing. God is fighting for us in ways we cannot always see and working in us things we cannot always know. He is not willing all things, for He never wills evil things or sinful things, but “we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). “You have only to keep still.” Keep still; rest in God; trust in Him and His power to save. Trust that He loves you and He is for you, never leaving you nor forsaking you. No matter how things may seem or even what things may happen (Hebrews 13:5). “From ages past no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides You, who works for those who wait for Him” (Isaiah 64:4). Just as the people of God under the leadership of Moses overcame their physical enemies by faith and obedience, so we overcome our spiritual enemies by faith and obedience. “For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness” (Ephesians 6:12). “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds” (2 Corinthians 10:4). As we trust in You, keep still before You, stand firm in You, full of faith instead of fear, obedient to You and Your power and grace, we will look and see the deliverance of the Lord—the Lord who fights for us. The very enemies of our soul who come to steal and kill and destroy our peace and hope and joy will be ambushed by our God (John 10:10). And we will never see them again. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
