Morning by Morning, February 3, 2025 - “Fix Your Thoughts on Jesus” Good morning, Lord Jesus. I speak out Your name and listen for Your leading (John 10:27). ... “Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our Apostle and High Priest” (Hebrews 3:1 NIV). Lord, how do I “fix (my) thoughts on (You)? ... As I wait, what comes in my heart and up to my mind are these words: “Intentionally seek Me. Intentionally open Your mind to My thoughts, allowing Me to form My thoughts in your mind. See My example in My Word, by what I said and by what I did. Then follow My example by My Spirit. Apart from Me, you can do nothing. But you are not apart from Me. And when you fix your thoughts on Me, you are drawing near to Me, surrendering your thoughts to My thoughts, your desires to My desires, your ways to My ways.” ... Yes, Lord. By the power of Your grace, I intentionally choose to “fix (my) thoughts on (You)”--right now in these first moments of my morning, and also as Your Holy Spirit leads me throughout the moments of my day. As Your Word inspires me, as Your Spirit empowers me: “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness” (Matthew 6:33). “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8). “Abide in Me, and I in you” (John 15:4). “You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13). “My heart says of You, ‘Seek His face.’ Your face, Lord, I will seek” (Psalm 27:8). “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus” (Hebrews 12:1-2). In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
