"Filled with Joy and the Holy Spirit" 10-22-06

Good morning, Lord Jesus. Good morning, Heavenly Father. Good morning, Holy Spirit. Lord, You are One and You are Holy. Help me know You and embrace You in every Dimension of Your Being more fully each day as my Lord and my God. … "And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit" (Acts 13:52). This weekend was our "Holy Spirit Weekend" on the Alpha Course we run at our church to teach the foundational principles of our faith to lead people into a relationship with Christ -- either a new relationship or a deeper relationship. On this weekend we get away to learn more specifically about the nature and ministry of the Your Holy Spirit and many prayed for the first time to be filled and refreshed and renewed in the love and peace and joy of Your infilling presence. Thank You for Your desire to fill us with Your presence and conform us to Your nature. Thank You for giving us a hunger and thirst for more of You. "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6). Lord, keep filling me afresh every day with Your Holy Spirit. This is a deep part of the joy in the journey with You. Thank You for the gift of helping lead others along in the joy of the journey together. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen. Be encouraged today!
